I've been an avid SwiftKey user for a while, mostly using flow. I've definitely felt the limitations of the n-gram model in managing predictions, requiring me to type several characters before the prediction hits. After getting neural alpha, I typed up a couple emails on my phone to train it up. At that point, the predictions were already as good as the original SwiftKey, and they keep improving as I use it. I hope SwiftKey takes this concept and runs with it!

So I wasn't sure exactly how this could differ that much from the original, but the predictions are noticeable more accurate/appropriate. And shockingly, I'd say the keyboard seems faster as well. What I'd like to see though, taking things to the NEXT level, would be a keyboard that didn't only predict text based on word combinations/grammar, but also time of day. For example, if it's 7:00AM and I start my sentence with "good" the keyboard might predict "morning" next. Just an idea. Great job though!

If you're debating if this download is worth it... It is. I've been using it for months now and it only gets better. While I do wish there was a clipboard function, I don't want it if it means losing any amount of functionality on this keyboard. It's very intuitive (even if that means that some people somewhere are recording everything I type and learning from my typing patterns).

The only keyboard I use. As soon as I came across the SwiftKey keyboard I fell in love. It's the very first app I install everytime I get a new device without delay. Everyone that I have been able to get too at least try it has switched over and never looked back. My wife and family loves it. I never need to get familiar with or learn a new keyboard for every brand or different types of devices. You just install SwiftKey and get right into texting like a champ. Great looks + Great customization easy setup.

I've been using Google keyboard for about a year now, and lately it has been causing severe slowdown on my phone, so I decided to try something new. This was recommended to me, and being a software developer, I was intrigued. I've been using it for two days now, and I've gotta say this is the fastest learning keyboard I've ever used. Aside from my small personal words that not many keyboards would know right away, I've had only very few issues with the predictions. Far superior to Google keyboard.

The fact they also have a function called Flow which is similar to Swype by Nuance and have been using it and loving every moment if it. I got my first Android device back in 2011 and was looking for a keyboard that was not the stock one. Even though this version is still in the Alpha phase, I've noticed a better prediction engine and overall a better experience. It has its quirks but are non-existant. Hands down, best keyboard app! In my opinion...

I have high hopes for this, especially when it can log into Swiftkey Cloud and share data between my devices. Seems to work pretty smoothly on my LG G3, but my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 does slow down a bit more when Neural is working to make predictions. This keyboard definitely benefits from a faster processor.

D70%
by D####:

It took me a while to realize the difference, but I never once had to reset my personal predictions with neural. With standard SwiftKey keyboard, I had to reset about once a month, or my swipe was never accurate, and I never used the prediction bar. Neural worked flawlessly, and I used the prediction bar on a regular basis. But, the lack of themes in neural is a little. Saddening and after looking through some old screens hots, I reinstalled standard SwiftKey. =(

D70%
by D####:

I've used this since it was released, knowing it was in alpha, but hoping it would grow closer and closer to the original app in terms of functionality, or at the very least, improve enough through neural learning to produce better predictions. Neither happened. The idea is a fantastic one, and I hope SwiftKey focuses on this app further, but for now, there's just too much missing. I'm switching back.

D70%
by D####:

First of all I wanted to say that this is the fastest, smoothest keyboard I've used yet on an Android phone. I've been using it for only a few hours and the corrections are already on point. Can't wait to spend more time using this keyboard and seeing how it adapts to my language style! I highly recommend at least trying this!

D70%
by D####:

Every time I reset my phone or get a new one I'm crippled until I put SwiftKey on. I've had SwiftKey since I got my first android 6 years ago and I'd never go without it. Whatever they're doing it's perfect. Simple to use, customizable, and everything just seems to be where it needs to be.

It would be great if I could access the emojis available in the marshmellow version of android, despite having them in my phone i cannot use them if I am using this keyboard. Also the keyboard is a bit slow but it does predict words well and learns as it goes. It enables me to text with one hand on my Edge +

D70%
by D####:

I am using SwiftKey for more than a year and all my language input data is on SwiftKey buy when installed this app I have to start from scratch, it's difficult for me to type fast. You guys are doing really good job and I expect you will fix this minor bug, I want to have all my language input come to this key from another SwiftKey app which I still use for fluency.

D70%
by D####:

I am constantly on the road and I do most of my work emails on my phone. I am so impressed with the accuracy and reliability of the predictions from this app. It almost feeds me words faster then I can think them. After all the time saved using this keyboard, there is no way I'd switch to anything else!!!

D70%
by D####:

I really love this app! From the day that I started using it, I saw how fast it is, and mostly how accurate! I strongly recommend using this app if you are using the Samsung integrated keyboard, or even the Google keyboard. Swiftkey is the way to go! Try it to see for yourself. As for me, I enabled the sound, and disabled the vibrations. It' just magic... :)

I've used SwiftKey keyboards since forever and they've been great. However, the new neutral keyboard lags way behind my Jerusalem presses and a little less behind my swipes. Hopefully a future update will address this.

D70%
by D####:

When I first started using the keyboard a few months ago, I'd say it was no better than the standard SwiftKey. However it has become much more accurate as I've used it more. I can now type whole sentences with only a few taps of the keyboard.

D70%
by D####:

Absolutely brilliant keyboard, that has saved me literally thousands of keystrokes... If only desktop typing was this efficient! One small request would be a light, high contrast colored theme to help with outdoor / bright light conditions ☺

D70%
by D####:

Is it still in development? It's been half a year since anything was added, that doesn't auger well for a project in alpha! Or did M$ kill this one too :(

D70%
by D####:

Tap typing is decent, but typing by sliding your finger on the keys is not too good. I frequently find myself having to press backspace and tap out words, which I find extremely annoying since I'm a slider. Also, with Swype, for example, if the word is wrong, when you hit backspace or seems to know your original pattern and suggests appropriate words... But on this, it suggests similar spelled words to the incorrect guess. Also, it frequently has no clue what your swipe pattern is supposed to be and givesup

D70%
by D####:

This keyboard lacks basic functionality to cut, copy, paste, and select text like Swype has. On Swype you can press Swype-X to cut, Swype-V to paste, Swype-A to select all, etc. Swype is like a real keyboard. On SwiftKey it's extremely slow and cumbersome to do that because it's not supported. SwiftKey company isn't smart enough to think of innovations like that. If this feature is ever implemented, the Home and End flows should also be supported because it's difficult to tap on the end of text.

D70%
by D####:

I am loving it more than any other keyboard apps I've used over the years. It has predicted accurately over 90% of the time for me so far. I haven't had any problems and the support blog is very informative, complete with YouTube videos for demo. Word of advice, download SwiftKey, then SwiftKey Neural. Afterwards activate Neural and use Neural right away, instead of using the original SwiftKey, THEN use Neural. Reason being, that way the app doesn't have to relearn everything from scratch again. Try it!

Really nice but I seem to have this issue where the keyboard will be on screen even though I have no app or text input box open, and will prevent me from doing anything else. EDIT: Nevermind, this appears to be an issue with Facebook's Chat Heads.

D70%
by D####:

I've been trying to use this keyboard for a few months now and the original SwiftKey is better. Predictions are useless at best (it even recommends strange symbols I've never used). I don't like not having any skins, and more often than not it freezes aafter it engages. I switched back to the regular Swiftkey on my phone and was instantly reminded how a keyboard should work. As soon as I'm done with this review I'm switching it back on my tablet as well...

D70%
by D####:

This keyboard works pretty well. Is there any way that I can get a theme u paid for from the original SwiftKey app? My only problem with this app now is the themes. Very plain and boring

D70%
by D####:

AWESOMELY AWESOME. MUCH BETTER THAN THE OTHER SWIFTKEY APPS. YOU CAN REMOVE DOUBLE WORD PREDICTIONS UNLIKE OTHER SWIFTKEY. ONLY SLIGHT PROBLEM IS PREDICTOR SOMETIMES MESSES UP AND SPLITS A COMPOUND WORD INTO 2. ALSO TAKES A COUPLE TRIES TO GET THE WORD YOU WANT INTO THE CENTER PREDICTION WINDOW WHEN YOU PRESS SPACEBAR TO COMPLETE WORD. NEED MORE KEYBOARD STYLES PLEASE ALSO TONE DOWN MEMORY AND BATT USAGE ACCORDING TO ALL IN ONE TOOLBOX APP USES CLOSE TO 2.22% BATTERY

D70%
by D####:

I never found SwiftKey Flow to be as accurate as Swype. In fact I found it frustrating and impossible to use. This neural keyboard is beyond accurate. It actually improves the more I use it. Final you've beaten Swype. Finally a keyboard I wish I had for my desktop computer. Now if only there were a few more themes. Thank you.

Z70%
by Z####:

Doesn't seem to work as well as the normal swiftkey. This one likes to suggest capitalized words in the middle of sentences for some reason, like Straw. Some really common words aren't known on occasion, too. I like the color scheme though.

Sprint Note 4 running Marshmallow. Love the flow and they predictions. Amazingly fast learner, but for some reason it works generate a huge lag in waking the phone, accepting permissions, and installing apps. Cleared cache, even went so far as a factory reset with no improvement. All issues stopped when I uninstalled. Maybe better luck in the beta cycle...

D70%
by D####:

I keep flicking between this, the original and the new emoji SwiftKey, but I keep coming back to this one. Because of the excellent predictions, makes it so much easier to type, please can we get a few more themes? Or can we get this type of prediction in the original? Samsung S7 Note user.

There should be an option to import the word experiences and history from the regular SwiftKey to this one. All those Tanglish(Tamil + English) words that the regular SwiftKey learned are lost.

R70%

If you pick two languages it becomes sloppy and laggy even on a powerful cpu. Other than that at the current state it's not superior to SwiftKey standard

I've been using SwiftKey for a very long time. Love it. So I am trying out this new one, but there is already a wealth of data in its cousin app. Why not use it?

R70%
by R####:

Too bad. It doesn't support more languages. For me, I can only use English which the other keyboards have it along with my native language, Myanmar.

D70%
by D####:

It started with very awesome predictions and then got worse and worse. It's bye for now, because I can't tell the difference between SwiftKey and this project. Going back to Fleksy. Keeps freezing my phone!

D70%
by D####:

However, the implementation just didn't work for me. Perhaps with more time it would be more useful, but right now I spend far too much time correcting what it thinks I'm trying to say

D70%
by D####:

It has started freezing and sticking after closing apps (like other versions of SwiftKey) on my galaxy s6 edge variant but featurewise it's doing well.

D70%
by D####:

The app does not seem to recognize my trends using the swipe method. Perhaps try using faster algorithms for short term data processing and anns for the bulk long-term data mining?

W70%
by W####:

Except for not being able to type a blank space. I know, doesn't sound like much, does it? But after using Neural for quite a long time, that one "little" thing was enough of an annoyance for me to uninstall. Fare thee well!

R70%
by R####:

This keyboard still stuffed from all the cons that the original Swiftkey suffers from. Spaces are still added at the end of words automatically. When correcting a word, you tap the word, if the cursor isn't at choose the and you choose the correction, the word gets split to two. One is the correction that you chose and the second is the leftover from the incorrect word.
