TP-Link Tether

Since purchasing and using the Archer VR600, it plays merry hell with my Amazon Echo! It keeps dropping audio and or the Wi-Fi signal. I've tried resetting to all the default resetting and rebooting of both the Echo and the Archer VR600 all to no avail! All other devices connected to my Archer VR600 and the Wi-Fi signal work flawlessly! The Archer VR600 was purchased as an upgrade to replace a BT home hub 5 which worked faultlessly with the Echo! Any ideas?

Looks like they're still doing updates which force you out of any routers you're logged into. Better hope you remember your credentials, or you'll be searching everywhere for where you wrote them down. It's an absolute inconvenience. You're better off just logging in online - at least that way you can have your browser remember your username and password, and you don't have to reenter them every time their app gets updates (So every three days).

I really wanted to try this app, but it just doesn't work with my Archer C3200, no matter what I try. Fails to connect/log-in with an error message “Unable to connect to the device, please try again”; and after that it just times out time after time with a “Connection timed out” error message.

Why all of the sudden my archer c9 will not connect after update. Kicked me out and now all it says is connection timed out and my email is not valid? I'm looking at the verification email from tp link yet it says my email is incorrect? Once again an "uodate" to better ( in the eyes of some) a function ruins something that worked just fine..

Does it work with any of your hubs? I use an Asus and their App works brilliantly. Trying a TP-LINK out for use in my apartment and App finds it straight away, but makes no serious attempt to connect to it. Worse still, it tries to imply my network might be unstable and to try moving closer. If I move closer, I'll be sitting on it. Try saying "Our App does not work for you. Please rate us accordingly on the play store". So I am....

Everything works fine now. The only thing what i missing from the app is the portforward to can configure and to can see the actual router time, before sync. The LED function is finally working. The Archer C25 haven't got the correct icon.

Worked fine until I used a ZTE USB stick MF730M in my VR400 and although the router accepts it and it works fine Tether seems to think that the Sim hasn't been recognised. I think it's because that USB modem works as a virtual Wan ethernet connection and although the bin file accepts it as such the Tether app doesn't understand it and gives me that error. Shame because I'd like to be able to remotely turn the backup on and off instead of logging in using my desktop...

Its an OK app for very basic features. 2 things I would like to see.. 1. Be able to connect via the Tether app from outside your network (WAN) by static ip or dynamic DNS. 2. More of a router update!... Completely change the way the Parental controls work (hint: DD-WRT) and then make that easy to access and change also on the Tether app.

New update released but still not able to use parental controls without entering a website. I just want to control how long they can use the Web. Please surly you can offer this.

really happy with last two update comes with major change than before, now the app look like stable and more easy to use. but one thing is missing, the speed limit..as tplink gives us to do manually but we need it on the app..like xiaomi mi app :) we hope the next update tplink will add speed limit function #TL-WR841N

Overall it's a good app, but I have one big issue. I set a few allowed websites from the parental control, but they still can't be accessed. Maybe some one from the developers can give me a clue?

Its good app for changing simple settings. But dont expect advanced features. After update, I can't seem to connect to cloud-link.

Was supposed to be able to remotely manage my device. Cannot connect unless I am at home and connected to my home wifi. Tech support says to "bind" my device to my ID and I did but still didn't work. Sucks.

I cannot find the LED or SCHEDULE function from the latest update. I would like to schedule power on and off for my Archer C9 router.

App is functional, however I am extremely disappointed that the TL-WA855RE doesn't give the ability to change the extended network's password. I believe the limitation is by the software side. I hope future firmwares from TP-Link will add this feature.

Keep telling my router password is wrong. I changed my username and password from defaults, but just logged in on my computer. This app keeps saying password is incorrect. Works with the default admin admin.

At home screen the password is displayed, so that if unknown person open this app in connected device so he/she can see the password.

Please add a feature for recording how much data consumed by all the devices connected to my router and a feature to control bandwidth usage of any device.

Not working with RE350 V1 (latest firmware) in AP mode even though advertised to work.

I can't connect to my Touch P5... update the app... seriously... we are in 2017... I should be able to access all my tp-link devices. All other router manufacturers are ahead in this... catch up tp-link

if you change user from admin is not working. Also it refuses long and complex passwords for connection with a stupid message that you deppased 13 chr of alphanumeric and special chars

No matter how much I try the app doesn't work for my TP Link wr841n v9 router. The app just can't find the device. :(

I have a Archer C7 v2 which is supposed to be compatible with the app, but it's not seeing my router though my phone is connected to my tplink network.

Simple & Easy for change some little thing But have to develop more function such as set time control on/off ...

It's not working perfectly the parent control option.The child devices can't access the permissible websites.Plz solve it. My router device is TL-WR84ON

I got this router and app largely because of the claims related to parental controls. But the controls are clunky and hard to use. I won't buy this brand again unless the parental controls are overhauled.

Terrible app. It will not let you log in once set up. The instructions say do factory reset but it does not exist.

The app is very convenient. However, it would be appreciated if the parental controls facilitated more than one parent.

In new update one missed option Blocking option is gone. Add it

It's simple and good. But few more options like WiFi channel analyser, port forwarding could be effective.

Crash problem fixed after recent update!
