About Travel Midwest
Travel Midwest is the official mobile app of the popular travelmidwest.com travel website. It provides a traffic map for the Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison and Rockford metropolitan areas, the Quad Cities, northwest Indiana, and southwestern Michigan. Map layers include Travel Times, Expressway Congestion, Arterial Congestion, Expressway Construction, Arterial Construction, Incidents, and Weather. Select from preset maps, center the map on your current position, or have the app track your position in real-time as you travel using the "Follow Me" feature, new in this version. Move and zoom the map anywhere in the coverage area, tap on the map to get details about incidents, travel times, construction, or to view camera images. Get various types of notices from different geographic areas and view the Travel Times and Incident reports. An indispensable app for commuters and all regional travelers.
v2.0.1 is not applicable to the Android platform.
v2.0.2 fixes Android 5.0 Lollipop issue with map tapping.
v2.0.3 adds new map presets to support travelmidwest.com's newly-expanded geographic coverage.
v2.0.4 Fixed issue where screen could go blank when selecting a Back button with some Android devices/versions.
Removed all screen transition effects, as some are incompatible with some Android devices/versions.

v2.0.5 Added app detection of which type of map rendering is currently being used on the travelmidwest.com servers. The map rendering on the servers will be changed from its current appearance to a Mercator (pure flat) appearance a few days after this mobile app version is deployed. This will make all maps, at all locations and zoom levels appear with straight and uniform north-south and east-west orientations, with no Earth curvature distortions.

I would rate this higher but the only thing this is good for these days is to see if there's a crash icon in the map.The travel times are non existent and everything you click on says "no map information available". **UPDATE 10/6/15** App has been fixed.Travel times and hazards are back to normal.Thanks for this update!

This Midwest App is very nice. Only reason I did not give it 5 Stars kind of Slow Always updating the Map, to often, other then that, Well Done, Very nice. Timothy Cline And I would have to Agree with Steve, kind of Slow. Tim

This app is slow to load the chicago map and the resolution is poor on my android tablet. The web page loads the map faster with good resolution. The developers of this app should be fired.

The data for milwaukee is generally accurate. The warning every time it opens is very annoying. No other app I have does this. There needs to be a refresh button on the map. The plus/minus buttons are too small and should be separate from the settings. There should be some way to put in your route and get the estimated travel time.
