Perfect Pitch Trainer

Totally useless without config options that are only available in paid version. It's really just a preview from people too dishonest to depend on the value of their app to make sales.

Never managed to open this app. Always Gives me unfortunately perfect pitch stopped. Haven't got a chance even to try it.

Superb app

I was happy with how the things you changed worked before. You still haven't removed the non-working 0-Octave notes from the slider. The sliders are hard to use on small phones the highlights on the note buttons are now broken and I dislike the long delay. Change that.

With the paid version (costs $1.25) it lets you select specific notes you want it to randomly choose from to test you, which is exactly what I wanted. There are some sound effects, though, which you can't turn off yet and are annoying because they give you a tonal reference point.

Great app. Only thing is I'd like to disable the intro music so I don't hear any notes till the actual training. Also would be cool if we could use different sounds.

Not bad overall. But when you guess a note, the game needs to pause for a couple of seconds to help you properly associate the tone you hear with the name of the note that it tells you. Instead, it's immediately on to the next note, which is confusing.

Suggestion: when choosing note names do, re mi..., please give the right answer using the same names instead of C, D, E...

Developer: Please fix the adjuster so they begin at C1. There is no A0! Please do something about the tiny sliders. They're about 1mm X 3mm on my handset, I have to try ten times before they move! Please keep internal record of failures and lean on those notes. Random number generation seems biased, I hear the same notes so often, I have to deselect them! Lost a star for no response.

This is a great app, well worth the money. The only thing that would make it more useful is a transpose function, so you can learn in a key other than C, Ive emailed the author, I hope it gets implemented!

Good program for the price. Big thanks to the dev for being so fast fixing the bugs! Well done, this is now my favourite pitch training app. I Have improved from using it too! A bug remaining is the A0 and B0 samples don't sound. Begin at C1? Could get five stars, very usable. Needs small fixes. PS Sliders are so hard to move on my tiny screen: Why not include an option to change the sliders for note and octave radio buttons? Please do and it would be great! Remember octaves begin @ C. Another star for you!

Absolute pitch or more commonly referred to as perfect pitch is not learned or taught nor can it be memorized by constantly hitting the same tone over and over. Perfect pitch is typically unlock as a child. This ability is said that 1 out of 10,000 can do this. This ability relies on a synthetic process (pretty much how we distinguish red from blue) alone, not by memory, however this ability can be unlocked, if have the "know how".

It sounds good, but I couldn't understand exactly how to use it. I'm not an experienced musician, so I would've liked some sort of cue that the sound was for the next test & not for the button that I just pushed.

I like the app. However I think it would be better if the user could decide when to advance to the next note. You get the notification which tells you that you have correctly identified A and B is played simultaneously. It's a bit confusing.

Don't bother installing of you go for the free version. As for the paid version, I have no clue.

And the "hall of fame" shows up blank (wanted to track my progress, as opposed to high scores, anyway).
