As other reviewers have noted--The app is extremely buggy, not to mention excruciatingly slow even when downloading low-res images of your mail. When you sign up for Informed Delivery, there's an option to have the system send you an email (with images embedded) and that seems to work better than the app.

Only complaint I have is that hitting the back button on the phone doesn't take you to the previous screen in the app. Great otherwise. Haven't had any of the issues others have reported. Not that this is NOT for tracking packages via a tracking number. This is a window into mail and packages being routed to you via USPS, whether they are tracked or not.

There app constantly crashes on launch and then crashed randomly at some internal later. But when it's working, it's really cool to see images of your mail being delivered today. Two features I'd like to see added: Seeing scanned images of the mail when they are being post marked with an ETA. Handy when you're expecting checks in the mail. Also, a notification when the mail has been delivered by the postal worker. I'd like to collect the mail as soon as it arrives. Add those two features, fix the bugs and you'll have a killer app on hand!

I had to go to the Post Office to get verified which I did. But in the app it says I still have to get verified. No one with the USPS can help me. They just give you the run around. I wish I could give it a -100 are lower because it is a waste of time. I will go back to calling the USPS every day to see if I have mail in my box.

Constantly need to re-enter login info at most inopportune moments. Garbage USPS server is often unresponsive. Lack of consistent tracking updates. Private carriers are far superior to the USPS.

The app works great for me including the one for Windows you can download. Maybe I downloaded the Android app after they fixed some stuff. But it's about time they release something like this. Especially if you're expecting certain mail or a package. So far it's been very accurate. Just started using the Android app and I've been using the one for Windows 10 for about a month now and I haven't run into any problems or inaccuracies yet.

by Y####:

I did receive pictures of some of my mail. Help and account management pop you out of the app to the web. Live chat exited before i entered my next query (and had me re-enter info) . Creating an account is painful. I have not figured out how to modify my profile.

Leave it to any bloated fat on the pension, union and civil service act protected bureaucracy and you'll end up with rampant waste, systemic inefficiency. All on our dime. 2010 lost 8.5 billion, 2012 8.3 billion 2016 lost 2 billion. Likley cost near a million or millions to make this. Remember the cost of healthcare.gov

Just as useless as everything else produced by the federal government. I can't even log in although i have entered the correct account name and password. The mobile website works fine. Just use that and don't waste your time on this app

Y70%
by Y####:

It's ok. Produced a lot of errors until I just went online and set it up there. After that, the app appears to be a lot more stable. Save yourself a headache and set yourself up and validate online through a browser first.

Y70%
by Y####:

It works every time I launch it and haven't had any crashes. This is a great app to see what is expected in your mailbox. Of course the only thing it doesn't track is junk mail

E70%
by E####:

Updated review: The app is much more stable now but still crashes when opening after using it after a few hours. Have to reopen it. I tried reporting the problem and got a response about clearing cache and cookies in Safari. Apparently they don't know the difference between Android and Apple.

Y70%
by Y####:

The main problem with the app is the devs needed to have it ask for and be assigned permissions. After it crashed on me twice just trying to sign in, I went into settings and assigned it all available permissions, except phone (cause I'm using a tablet). When I reopened the app it functioned as it should, albeit slowly as previously noted in other reviews.

by Y####:

Was working pretty well for some weeks, then the reporting procedures underlying the app and its online, web-interface counterpart broke down. I received a package last week that ID says is still on its way; another has allegedly been attempted to be delivered but no actual evidence of such attempts can be found. Someday when the USPS becomes a functional agency (after privatization), maybe this app will be worth more.

Remove the text verification, some people don't have cell service at home, because of this I cancelled my cellphone and now have no way to verify via sms. My login credentials should be enough as it is on the USPS website

Y70%
by Y####:

Constant crashing. Very glitchy. Going to just remove it until it's stable and actually does what it's supposed to.

Y70%
by Y####:

Problems with the initial SMS to do the final configuration. SMS was never received after several attempts.

Y70%
by Y####:

Useless piece of s**t. Telling me the package is on the way to me... duh. Stupid. Bring back the old tracking.

R70%
by R####:

Won't let me log in, even though I am using correct username and password. The website lets me log in just fine.

Y70%
by Y####:

The app works ok for me, however, could you please remove the Toast message that tell me if mobile data or wifi have been enabled or disabled? This is annoying since every time I turn WiFi on/off, I get a Toast message about it. This should be only present in a debugging version or you could use the Log feature instead.

Y70%
by Y####:

It definitely has promise, but this needs a lot of TLC. The clock at the bottom is locked to GMT, that "what's new" splash screen popped up every time I switched away and back, only disappearing after the app restarted. Does not like to be left open in the background for long periods, crashing often. The help page has broken links and doesn't show properly on mobile. It's a start, but I wish this had bucked the trend of using customers as beta testers.

B70%
by B####:

Junk software. First it let me sign in and once I verified my account by text it crashed. Now it says invalid username /password. Pure garbage.

K70%
by K####:

Works great as far as I can tell. I haven't experienced any issues that others have noted below. Note 5 w/latest android OS

T70%
by T####:

Every time I try yo log in it say I have the wrong user name and password but I don't. Then it always crashes. I guess I can just continue to check it on the website instead.

Y70%
by Y####:

I have a Note 8 and the SMS verification doesn't even send me an SMS to confirm and start using the app. I've tried for a full month now

Y70%
by Y####:

I couldn't even to get it to work long enough to try it. Crashes left and right and claims it has no connection when there is one. Waste of time.

Y70%
by Y####:

This app works maybe 1 out of 10 times that I open it. Absolutely horrible!

Y70%
by Y####:

App crashes every time you try to open it, and randomly, when or if you do get on. Very slow...

Y70%
by Y####:

Keeps crashing and force stopping on my Google Pixel XL running Android 8.1 Oreo.

Y70%
by Y####:

Don't quite understand why this is called "informed delivery" when you can only see mail that has already been delivered and things that will be delivered in a couple of hours... If you can show packages weeks in advance why can't we see what letters will be likely be delivered tomorrow?

Y70%
by Y####:

Takes some getting used too but once you figure it out a great app! ????

Y70%
by Y####:

It keeps asking me to verify my cell phone over and over and over again. Useless.

Y70%
by Y####:

This app sucks...8 steps to verify who you are and still didn't work

A70%
by A####:

Not really an app. In order to check status the user is redirected to the USPS web site. What good is an app that still needs a web browser to provide information. I will be deleting the app shortly.

J70%
by J####:

The app asks to send a verification code to your phone. They do not send a code, they want you to reply to their text. However the return text cannot go through. It won't accept responses.

Y70%
by Y####:

3rd try and it refuses to accept my address

Y70%
by Y####:

Doesn't work with USPS PO boxes!

Y70%
by Y####:

This app sucks! Crashes non-stop!

V70%
by V####:

Crashes during verification so it's unusable

Have used app for 4 weeks. So far, so good. Very handy.
