This app works great in doing what it should do for an in-home dvr app. I think it hasn't reached its full potential especially with the platforms it can be used on. That being said my only problem is I can't watch tv and use the dvr app at the same time which is a capable function with the multi screen function on ipad.

So I'll just say that I put my hope behind this app giving me a reason to keep Fios TV but if they don't pick up their game. I can easily see me leaving and getting rid of the rental fees of $40 a month alone and get a PS Vue it's like they don't want to compete with other services but that's their fault for being so outdated and restricting to a customer's experience. Really just so upsetting give the customer's a better experience on the go and at home let me not need these slow and not always synced cable boxes. Not to mentioned slow o wait that's how slow they are and I have supposedly the best lol the best. still have to give the app some stars for trying and talling short.

Now you can only watch limited channels while connected to a FIOS Wi-Fi other than your own. Seriously? Why does this app need permission to make phone calls and access your photos? The service is expensive and they nickel and dime you to death. Why can't we watch the same on demand that we can watch at home? Why can't we watch the same channels we already pay for? Why can't we watch our DVR remotely? And on top of it all the app just crashes now!

This application is coded specifically to only -only- work on devices that are connected to Verizon's router via wifi only. The issue with this is you literally can not use a PHYSICAL lan connection from your Android TV to the router as it simply won't work. Secondly it says there is Amazon fire TV support on the website when clearly it's not. You also cannot use a remote on this application and it does not work correctly on devices with Android's doze feature essentially killing your device by always running. If you are planning on not using Verizon's hardware or to use your own this will not be beneficial. Go get a HDHomeRun Prime.

This should have a lot of promise with zero rated streaming on your Verizon wireless phone. But the app inserts ads and frequently has the same ad play multiple times in a row. Really bad on stations like cnn or tbs. Ads play over content and then the station take a commercial break. Then Verizon inserts more ads. It essentially becomes unwatchable. The app should be renamed to YouCommercial as that is all you see.

Don't have access to any channel I like while away from home and still need wifi for some channels. Not able to watch recorded shows on my Nexus 6 phone unless I upgrade my service. I'll give give starts if I could watch my DVR at no extra cost. Sorry I'm already paying enough money as it is.

It times out often it buffers constantly and gets stuck in a commercial loop every time a commercial comes on. Once it lasted 20 minutes. Get tired of stooping and reset for the show to come back. Is Comcast mobile app any better though?

Worked great for awhile, now I can't even log in unless I'm connected to wifi. Keeps giving diff error msgs when I'm on mobile data. Which makes no sense since I have unlimited...and streaming isn't supposed to use ur data. 1 star til yall fix this!

I use the mobile app to browse TV listings because the on-screen guide is unintelligible. But the mobile app isn't all that much better. If it would simply show me only the channels I'm subscribed to, that would be a big help. I was looking to see whether an old movie was going to be showing anywhere. I located the title but no viewing times. There was an icon to "bookmark" the movie, so I clicked that. It took me to a thousand-word Terms of Service that I didn't understand, so I backed out. Have had FIOS for about 6 months. So far I'm not impressed.

I liked the app before the July 2016 update. It is over 9 months with an unusable app. I can no longer watch anything on either my Galaxy or Dell tablet. Was told to uninstall and reinstall many times which didn't work. I have never used an app that has so many problems constantly as this one. Awful customer service. They keep saying they are working on it, but still no resolution. They are not helpful and really don't care. New update in April 2017 and the app won't load at all. Don't believe their advertising or their customer service. All lies. The app is crap. As of 4/28, still no resolution.

I normally don't write reviews, but I have to complain about this one. The recent update made this app not usable. I have downloaded and deleted multiple times, each time it brings me to the face page then cuts off. Prior to this update the app worked great. I tried to email the app customer service but can't because I need access to the app which I don't have. Please fix!!!

I have no issues with HBO Go, prime, and Netflix apps. But poor quality with this FiOS app and I have v FiOS as my cable and streaming service. Strange and frustrating. 5/20/17: constantly dealing with load lag time and error messages. Keeps asking me for my password. It can't handle low WiFi signal strength like other apps. Poor quality at times when streaming off the WiFi network. Just too many annoying issues. And I'm a diehard Verizon customer.

Doesn't stream all live TV that I pay gor... should be able to watch all channels that are included in what my monthly package inclues... Also the DVR streaming of the app works when it wants to work.... Constantly Uninstalling and installing app for DVR feature to Worrell properly...... CRAPPPP.......

All the features that would be great on the go can only be used when connected to your home network so therefore they are obsolete out of your home. In example I can only stream DVR recordings at home. Why would I want to stream on my phone at home when I could be watching it on my TV. Another disappointment is I can only record programs from out of the home on the main box my box is not the main box so again this feature is obsolete out of the home. All in all extremely disappointed. But the FiOS app that gives you billing options and payment options you can access anywhere. So they cleverly made it that you can only access programs and DVR on your device in home but you can shell out your $275 monthly anywhere in the continental United States. Very typical.

It's awesome application plus I'm using FiOS and I can stream live TV & movies anywhere anyplace. Not like Optimum which you got to run on Wi-Fi in your apartment in order to connect not your friend's apartment.

It's not a simple platform and needs improvement. I cant use any other apps on split. It will stop the video every time I try to use a second app. Also, I can never tell which videos is available to watch on mobile. It would be nice also if it allowed to continue listening on lock screen. Overall it's just an unpleasant experience and frustrating at times.

I use the app to listen to news while driving and frustrated by dropped signal which doesn't happen on the Netflix app. I would love a sound only option and a podcast mode so I can hear content when the phone us locked .

Just switched from Xfinity, and I'm serious considering going back. First problem, there is no way to watch recorded DVR shows from a MAC or PC computer. You can only watch DVR shows through there mobile app that is not available for MAC or PC computer. Second problem, is that this app constantly buffers and Freeze's. I've never had so many issues with trying to watch DVR shows. I only switched because the price was lower. Everything-(interface, features, customer service)- except for internet speed has been worse on Verizon's cable network.

When this app works, it's fine, other than the occasional app failure. This app is terrible. You'd think for a company with so much money and technology, they could handle an app. Thanks, Verizon, for taking a significant chunk of my income and returning crappy-ass service.

Love this app. It's especially nice now that verizon is unlimited. The only issue is you lose channels when not on your own router. You should be able to watch whatever is on the tv. You lose sports games and live TV. However DVR stuff is great for on the go

Great app but..... on my Galaxy Tab S it frequently start buffering and then has an error whereas on my phone it works flawlessly... My other issue is that I can't watch MSNBC while I'm out of my network which I paid for....

Choppy video on my Samsung S4 phone. Unfortunately, I cannot use this version on my Samsung 10.1 Tablet; previous version did work. Now I cannot watch TV or my recorded shows remotely.

I have this app on multiple devices and it's great in my phone (not perfect but certainly a good experience), but on my tablet (Asus Zenpad 3S) the video streams in full screen which is not optimal for my tablet. The videos are stretched and look very bad, making it difficult to watch anything on the app on my tablet. The app should be able to properly fit my screen and not just do a default full screen. Please fix this with an update, Verizon

Version 5.6 just keeps crashing. I am unable to open the app without constant crashing. I tried downgrading to 5.3 which worked fine but FiOS stopped signing that update so I am stuck with 5.6 and am unable to even access the app anymore. I am severally disappointed.

App has been broken for almost a year, not working at all. Attempting to watch anything would cause an error to pop up. Now they have decided to remove support for Android, so the app cannot even be updated anymore. They ignored trouble tickets and have had terrible customer support lately, which is unfortunate because the app used to work great until about a year ago.

I'm not using it I do it but what's this u wanna manage my phone contacts about. I did not do this app for that feature​. To bad looked good. Oh and deny should still allow use. Restricted use upon only allowing u my contacts is lame.

The app needs to be fixed. It was working fine until the most recent update but now sometimes shows start and it forces it back to the home page. It's very inconvenient when you have nothing else to do. Seriously needs to be looked at

I used to LOVE it and even gave it a high rating and now they stopped supporting the older version and I can no longer use it on my mobile device. Its an older model. So I came back higly disappointed and would like to give you a zero but you won't give me the choice. You need to support the older version for those of us who still use it. Not fair.

Interface Needs​ to be redesigned for easier access to the channel you want and search should be enhanced to show more details for content that can be viewed on my device. The application seems like it was not changed in a while, it's in a critical need of an upgrade since technically it's becoming obselete and if apps like Hulu and many more are so much better looking and easier to access to my personalised content more people cut cords for this reason alone. Don't become the Hummer of TV and get with the fast paced changes of your competition. I'm sure Verizon has plenty resource to tackle something like a simple streaming application. With all the money it's a shame you can't afford some excellent development team

Let's be real. The app is not perfect. It once worked, but now it's broken. What you need is better programmers, so just in case you fired the original programmer, I advise you to get him or her back. If the programmer quit, then beg him or her to come back.

Can watch live tv and schedule dvr, just can't watch dvr. Verizon has been trying for 3 months to fix, but can't and has made it worse It's been 6 months, still can't watch what's on my dvr on this phone. Verizon tells me this is a free app so there's no support. Huh? And you advertise this is a feature I get by paying for fios. Needs to be support.

Sometimes you can watch some of the channels you pay for with this app. Other times you can watch 10 Rocket Mortgage commercials in a row that climax with a blue spinning circle. I appreciate the opportunity FIOS Mobile gives me to watch my favorite shows with no audio; where else could I do that? -- Bottom line --10% of the channels you pay for are avaliable to be watched, and you will walk away frustrated 33% of the time when trying to watch TV with this app.

Installed app. Denied "make & receive phone calls" permission. App: "In order to show video, we must be allowed to make phone calls. This app will now terminate until the correct permissions are added." Uninstalled.

Junk app that doesn't let you watch your movies on the go they play with the fast forward and Rewind so it forces you to watch commercials what good is a mobile app if you can only watch movies while you're in your house on your own FiOS router

I have android phone running the latest OS, but this app is rather buggy, always generating errors when i try to watch certain tv stations. Fox News for instance always errors out the first time i try to watch it. I'm able to get in the second time. Starting up the app itself can cause an error. Overall, it's fair for an app, but could be better.

I love being able to watch shows that I have recorded as well as being able to set shows to record that I forgot to at home. One bad thing, if I'm out and about the signal is never strong enough to watch without constant buffering.

MAKES MY S7 VERY WARM (hot) while charging or not charging. Verizon wireless ran a diagnostic and said it's not a problem. Since the phone does not get hot any other time, I surmise it must be the app. That's not cool and why only

Easy to navigate, great HD quality and fantastic tool to have at your fingertips. Can pretty much cuddle up anywhere and stream live TV with no interruptions. Refuse to go without it!
