Virtual Walk Treadmill or GPS

So far impressed! Other virtual running apps are not true apps...this tracks the virtual route via a map and displays fun info about thr journey! I love the heads-up notifications that tell me I've reached a checkpoint on the virtual map. This is great!!

Installed this to use on my samsumg galaxy tab 2. It requires me to log in and connects me to facebook, then reports that I have no internet (except, I installed it and connected to facebook, so obviously I have internet). Tried to add friends, it cycles for a few seconds then crashes. Thought this could have been a good app, but not if it won't let me use it.

The negative reviews on this app are from people who do not read or observe anything before downloading. The app does exactly what it claims to. However I think it needs more walk options.

WASTE OF TIME!!! This IS NOT a "Virtual Walk Treadmill"!!! YOU are supposed to ACTUALLY walk in the exact spots with this app running on your phone or tablet... For example, you actually have to go to Central Park in NYC and run their app while walking their designed course. IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TREADMILL!!! IT'S NOT VIRTUAL SCENERY!!! I hate when app creators create the title of their app around something popular that people want and would download BUT, their app has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with that popular concept that people ACTUALLY WANT... They do this just so people will download... SUCH CRAP AND GARBAGE!!! I WILL BOYCOTT any other product or app that Virtual Walk LLC has!!! THIS COMPANY IS A BUNCH OF SNEAKY SOBS!!!! I AM VERY ANGRY for doing this to people and trying to trick them into downloading their CRAPPY, GOOD FOR NOTHING, WASTE OF TIME APP!!! I'd include a few "choice" words here, but I can't unfortunately.

Well I was so excited for this but it only shows a map. Tried the GPS option and says there is no connection. Same as review below...I was definitely connected to Internet. Fix and maybe I would pay for maps.

Tried to sign up using email. Kept getting invalid password.

It doesn't show you the trail, only the map. Not what I was looking for.

This isn't a virtual walk, it's just a map with a highlighted line. Even the street view isn't like we are walking a trail. Let me know if I'm missing something because the reviews are all pretty good, I just don't get it.

If you are on a trail and you swipe your way to another state for example, I can't find my way back to my original trail. Also too, I live in NJ, no other trail works for me except Central Park, NYC NY

There's no way to set either treadmill or outside for the GPS, the only setting there is for notifications and to email for help

Where is the street view?

Not a bad app for a simple tour. If your constantly changing the speed on your treadmill or other equipment this isn't the app for you, unless you don't mind doing so. Just wish you could create your own trail.

Please note, this isnt a video of an actual walk, its a map with landmarks & articles. Wonderful app, just right for beginners to walking on a treadmill. Chance to buy extra walks for very little money. Love the little articles explaining different stops on the walk.

I love this app, there is literally no app that can show/keep a pace to run (or row) against on the entire android market. It would be nice to be able to turn landmarks off.

I just started this tonight. Seems like I will like having the "goals" to meet on the walk. I'll come back at a later date & update

I absolutely love the virtual checkpoints, history lessons and high quality pictures. I just started the first leg of the Appalachian Trail. This will definitely end the monotony of my weekday walks. I hit numerous trails on the weekend. Highly recommend.

The app is ok but I wish it actually simulated you walking instead of the little icon thing that only moves every when you reach that disctance. Also they need to get rid of the trivia questions, really who has time for trivia while your walking. The app should move across the scene as you are walking.

Would love for it to do a verbal description of the walks.

GREAT app! It's works well (I have a Galaxy S4) and my goal is to eventually finish the full Appalachian Trail :-)

So I'm not sure what exactly happened but I logged off my Virtual Walk and lost all my data. I had 8 days in and 20 miles on the AT the first part. Is this a known bug? What the heck happened and where is my 20 miles??? I was having a good time doing this but now I'm worried that my mileage is not going to be correct. Someone help me did I do something wrong? Is there a way to save everything that I don't know of?

Finally, something to alleviate the monotonous nature of dog walking. Can't wait for more routes.

Pretty decent app.

How are you supposed to use this app? I wanted to use it with a treadmill. There are no help or tips menus, and no instructions how to use the app. I guessed it worked like a pedometer, until I started a route while lying in bed and the indicator on the map showed I was constantly moving at 2.5mph... I was in bed!!! Lol Doesn't really do anything other than play a video of an icon moving on a map, unless im missing something. ..

I want it to feel as if im walking down the street

I broke my galaxy s4 so I am Using a temp phone ZTE Sonota the app installed fine signed in and then it went to hell! Keeps crashing I reinstalled and it won't even start now! Wish I knew what went wrong I really need this app!

It would be nice if the walks looked like you were walking and not watching a little blip on the screen. I do like the little history lesson when you hit a landmark but trying to read while walking/jogging is not easy.
