Smartphones have become a large part of everyone’s lives, we use them as a form of communication, entertainment, work and occasionally a cure to boredom. They have made a major breakthrough in technological mobility, but that’s where the problem arises. Smartphones do the talking for us, they do the walking for us, and with the rapid development in VR, they could also be living for us. It is important for people to take time off from your mobile devices and spend time either for yourself or with others. However, with all the appealing benefits of technology, it is hard to track how much time you really spend on smartphones.
People feel the need for change, and change is difficult where there is nowhere to start, the average person is aware that they spend too much time on their mobile devices and figuring just how much they use is difficult when there is no inbuilt tracker that tells you how much you use each app. More importantly, there are no goals to be set, what are you working towards if there is no goal? Controlling how much people use their phones will improve people’s social skills, personal engagement and focus.
