שורשי - משירי אברהם לוי

בספרי שורשי ריכזתי חמישים שירים מתוך יותר ממאה ושלושים משירי שהולחנו והוקלטו ע"י זמרים רבים.
הבחירה נעשתה מכמה שיקולים וביניהם השמעות ברדיו ,מידת הפופולאריות שהלם. רוב השירים בספר הפכו לריקודי עם , ואלה מבינינו שלוקחים חלק במחולות עם בארץ ודאי מכיר את השירים.
שירי מתוארים כשירי א"י ומספרים על תמונות נוף בעיקר מן העבר. מעט מאוד שירי אהבה וזאת לבקשת מפיקי השיר וכן שירים הנוגעים לאהבת הארץ.
אביהו מדינה כתב בכריכת הספר: ” מצאתי באברהם לוי הרבה אהבת העם והארץ כמו בשיר " שורשי " I concentrated fifty books roots of songs from more than one hundred and thirty songs composed and recorded by many singers.
The selection was made based on several considerations, including radio airplay popularity shock. Most of the poems in the book have become folk dance, and those of us who take part in dances with Israel and certainly knows the songs.
Songs are described as shooting Palestine and figures mainly landscape images from the past. Very few love songs at the request of the producers of the song and songs concerning love of the land.
