About MealLogger-Photo Food Journal

MealLogger, the fast photo food journal, is the easy way to keep track of your healthy eating and wellness goals. Now faster and with more ways to help you stay on track.

On a diet? Suffering food allergies? Managing your weight? With MealLogger you can simply photograph your food intake, add a bit of text and nutrient information if you choose, and youíre done. And, if you work with a health professional, MealLogger allows you to connect directly to your dietitian, nutritionist, fitness trainer, etc for feedback, advice, and support on your mobile device.

You can get great social and one-on-one support from MealLogger, but now you can also join custom Nutrition Programs. Track your daily servings of food categories: Meats, Grains, Fish, Legumes, Vegetables, Supplements, Fruits, and more. Search for nutrition programs - like the DASH diet, or AHA guidelines. Or if you're joining MealLogger via our fitness club or health partners, you'll find programs published specifically by your club or company sponsor.

Tracking servings has never been easier. Just snap a picture and tap the serving amount. No looking up food; no entering grams and calories. No more looking up one food type from hundreds of examples. And MealLogger lets you know how you're doing, meal by meal, how many more servings you need to eat that day.

Connect to your friends with MealLogger groups! Create your own community based on your lifestyle, connecting with friends, family members, colleagues, or anyone sharing a common interest. If you're not yet ready to share with a group, follow a public group to learn more how others motivate each other to eat healthy or to research a specific diet you've always been curious about.

Designed with privacy in mind, MealLogger groups can also be completely private -- no need to worry about posting updates to social networks or public forums where everyone can see. With private MealLogger groups, you can get same social support you love in a place built specifically for personal healthy eating conversation with those you trust.

Its simple which is what I wanted. But the maths lets it down. You can not enter calories or kj directly. You have to enter fat protein and carbs seporately. But it gets the maths wrong. It drops every thing after the decimal point (rounds down). So 1.8g fat calcs as 1 x 8 not 1.8 x 8.8. Which is a 50% error. No ads appeared for me.

This app work really well for 1 day. I thought I'd found a really good photo diary tracking app. But after the second day the app kept crashing.

K70%
by K####:

Great customer service, the app is easy to use and it helps me track what I eat without obsessing over every gram or calorie. Since calories are usually estimates anyway, this helps keep me sane while making sure I'm eating a balanced diet. Hint: if you want to create your own nutrition program with ranges, sign up for a free pro account on their website. If you have any issues, contact the support staff. They are very helpful.

Love how simple to use but it doesn't transfer my steps and other data from my fitbit app to meallogger. I have to disconnect and then reconnect to fitbit in the settings every time. Is this a bug? This is tedious

I love this app. The 2 observations that I have is: you need to make this app easier to share with friends. And it needs to able to easily post to social media. This way the word gets out about this gem of an app

This is a terrible update. Put it back. Why can't I get the old version back? It's impossible to use now. You guys f***ed up with this. I cant use it and I cant keep track now thanks a lot.

Y70%
by Y####:

Don't like the update version at all cause now I can't make entries when I'm offline this was a stupid upgrade The old version suits me just fine! Now only when I'm on wifi then I can make entries or edit an entry! SMH

Y70%
by Y####:

Pls make the images preview larger like on like instagram , add a widget for quick meal log , and please make a more nicely put summary of weekly meals especially entries without picture.

K70%
by K####:

New update makes the app useless to anyone serious about counting calories. They removed the ability to input your own calories and you are forced to use their "serving" system which it uses to "estimate" your calories. The estimates for my food have been way off. I weigh my food precisely to the gram with a food scale, so I know exactly how many calories I'm getting. I don't need this app to give me a rather poor estimate when I know the exact amounts. It's basically just a picture sharing app now.

Q70%
by Q####:

It's OK but it is a bit hard to find what your looking for with this new update

H70%
by H####:

With the update the ability to enter calories no longer exists making what was an app I loved now useless for me.

This app would be great if it would show the entries as a list instead of blank thumbnails when you don't take any photos.

Q70%
by Q####:

Yes, I found this journal better than any other free food journal available in Play Store. Keeps track of Meal,Exercise,Weight,Sleep,Steps and what more is required? Easy to get sign-in via Facebook another favorite option. Say No to Extra password entry in your mind :-) Status is available now. Great!!!

M70%
by M####:

I usually add new entries without photos and in case when I want to choose items from favorites I can only see blank thumbnails without any title or text so it's hard to pick the right item. The same is with daily and weekly summary. A list view would really help.

C70%
by C####:

Awful. Has nothing to go with food unless you take pictures of what you eat. LAME

C70%
by C####:

Can you add a feature to allow the current user to choose if they want a long description to be shorted or not? I write long descriptions for each of my meals and want to be able to scroll thru the news feed without clicking each item to expand and read the full comment.

U70%
by U####:

I'm really enjoying the app. I set up a closed group for me and my mum and we can now support each other from a distance in our attempt to eat healthier. It would be nice to have a daily summary and bigger photos instead of just a landscape section. I'm trying to follow Slimming World's diet so I use the app to log how many As, Bs and syn's I've had in a day. If you do update the app to include calories e.t.c please leave space to put in your own values like Slimming World syn's or Weight Whatchers points.

Started to use the meallogger by request of my nutritionist. I had trouble with getting pictues to load in the app. I sent an e-mail to help with the issue and they are really good at helping you out. Getting the issues fixed and I can't wait to use it.

U70%
by U####:

I gave it 4 stars because I really like the app, however I often get 'not enough data space' or something similar when I go to take pictures of my meal. It does eventually work if I try like 5 times, but it gets obviously a bit annoying. When I go to use something from my gallery, it doesn't show up to crop, just brings me back to the meal entry page, and I can't use it in an entry. Fix those two things and it would be 5 stars. Also, there needs to be a dessert option! Please add it!!!

U70%
by U####:

The entry interface is often but intermittently missing the box for calories. Then, it often duplicates entries and, if you try to delete one, it deletes both. The app has to be closed for several minutes for totals to be updated and, because of the various other problems, they're usually wrong anyway. It's a shame, because this would be just what I needed if it worked properly.

Interesting concept. Useful

U70%

I really like this app but the annoying problem is the "synchronisation complete" message that keeps popping up even when you're on other apps.

U70%
by U####:

This app is easy and user-friendly. I have it on my home screen and add pictures of my meals and snacks in matter of seconds. I love how it records the date and time and how you can even add when you exercise or not. Unlike all of the Galaxy reviews I fortunately haven't had any problems with it and I hope it stays that way :)

I just downloaded the current version, where picture taking within the app is supposed to work on Galaxy S3. I can take a picture from within the app, but it won't save, it just disappears after I try to save it and the photo is not saved in the phone, either. I can take a pic outside of the app and then select existing picture. Otherwise, it looks great. Would like to see integration with Striiv.

by I####:

I've been using this app for about a year now, is really helped me get my frequency and amount of eating under control. It's super easy to use, snapping a quick photo is so much better than writing all that information down. There is one thing I've always wanted though, a widget. A quick meal add option along with a summary of when I last ate on my home screen would be amazing! I'd also like to see a bit better integration with fitbit. I'd like to see my sleep data pulled from there.

Love this app...if u are a visual person and want to keep track of what u are putting in your body...this is the app for you. I had a small issue with an incorrect date on my diary and contacted meallogger...within hours they sent me several emails back and fixed the prob.

After the latest update, the app worked great for a few days but now it seems to be freezing up when I try to open my group or look at or comment on someone else's meal. Since I am a group admin, this presents a real problem. Please fix.
