My Drivers Log

I used to love this app. Itworked great, didn't suck up my battery, logged my mileage for two years perfectly. Now it hardly ever starts, and if it does record my trip, it vanishes from the log 24 hours later, and it hasn't uploaded it. Now I have to use a different app that drains my battery. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times without any luck. I hope the developer fixes it because i'd like to be able to use it again.

Works well enough however sometimes it seems to think I've gone via a slightly different route as opposed to the one I actually took. This can mean discrepancies of a few miles which would add up over time. Still, I've not found another that's as good.

I've found that if you drive straight from point A to B, then stop it, the mileage is pretty accurate. But if you are a courier and make lots of stops as you drive in different directions, it tends to short cut the mileage. I just put the real mileage in the comment field. Also, it keeps forgetting my login credentials several times a week.

Is there a way to see the total driving time for all of your trips together? Like for a drivers training app

No thought needed. Jump in the car and go. Perfect! Does what it says and does it well.

Stops tracking after about 5 minutes. Not very useful if your drive is longer than that.

Good app, good support. Would love to be able to define how often email is sent and an option to send data as an attachment would be fantastic

Need to have it in miles not kilometres. Wish I could edit field for the purpose of trip - business, client, personal, etc.

Try, try, and try as I might, autorecord on Bluetooth connection worked the 1st time and never again. I uninstalled in frustration and won't be back.

I think this app has potential. It works fine as said with the automatic start when connected to carkit. But I think the milage does not correspond with reality. If this could be improved it might be perfect. Oh and registring the milage of the car might be added to?

This app is the best I found in my search for drivers log apps. It integrates with your bluetooth box in your car (if you have one), creates reports, exports to CSV and more. Try it!

UPDATE: I have been using this for a couple of months now, and while it has never stopped working and all my trips have been recorded, I am finding some major discrepancies in my mileage readings. It seems like the app sometimes assumes the wrong route, going as far as to sometimes show I went back and forth on the same highway section. I tried with the GPS Setting on and off but still get the same result. Problem is not due to the hardware as other apps are recording mileage very accurately. I have been using this app for a couple of weeks now and it's been very stable and reliable. Invaluable for anybody who has a car with bluetooth connectivity - seamless operation - install and forget - it just works. Upload and export options exist. Export to CSV can be done for anybody who is concerned about privacy. One point and it would be perfect : The CSV file (generated directly from the app or from the website after upload) should contain the actual route data in the form of a URL with Google Maps. This information is already in the app and also online should you choose to upload, but having the possiblity of having this info on CSV for further processing would be invaluable.

Once you pair it with your car's Bluetooth, it starts when you start the car and finishes the log when you turn it off. So if you forget, it does not. Not tried the registration to allow emailing yet, but impressed so far.

I'm using this application to keep track of my business trips (mandatory by the Quebec government) to comply with regulations. It has proven to be an invaluable tool, saving me the hassle to manually log my daily trips as I travel quite frequently around the city.

I've been using this for several months now and I do like the auto log feature but there is a huge need for improvment. This will log your trips in the home to the bathroom, garage and out the back door to the neighbours house if you chose to go there. I pulled up my emailed reports since the first of January and I found very little usable information amongst these mini trips. Thank goodness I was using a secondary program as a backup so between that and using my fuel receipts (mileage written on them)

I am seriously impressed with this product. I'd looked long and hard to find an Android alternative to TripLogger on BlackBerry. It works flawlessly on my S3 and the map view even compares your actual route with a suggested route. I'll happily pay €10 per year for this app.

really works well for millage

This app is awesome. Auto start and stop using bluetooth, auto emailing. Seriously wicked.

I wanted something easy for logging mileage. It is easy. It automatically starts a trip when the bluetooth earpiece connects with the phone. Alternatively, you can press start or stop to log trips (which is better if you're using the bluetooth outside of your car). I didn't have the GPS feature active for some trips and the results were inaccurate. With GPS on, the trips are fairly accurate (sometimes different routes are logged). It is easy to export the log entries to a csv file, which is easily convertible into an Excel file. Only glitch was that the distance traveled are shown as text (e.g. "24.567 km") - you have to eliminate the " km" and format as ",". Then, you can add up the column. Would be nice if the app allowed you to type in destination name (or use a contact), but you can add it in Excel. It would also be useful to have odometer readings at various points in time, because the IRS requires that. A really good feature (most don't have) is the ability to show the trip on a map. Overall, a good app, but you need to carefully review all entries to ensure accuracy.

Detects my car's bluetooth and starts logging mileage. I can result sort the data to log files between business and personal use. Wish it would let me get the data from csv instead of html...better yet keep continuous log file.

The app seems to work as advertised. However, the developer website doesn't exist and I can't find a privacy policy or a data retention policy. Are the details of my trips being stored on a server somewhere? Are they personally-identifiable? How long do they keep the data? Who else gets to see that information? Pass

Great app, every journey logged with start and end addresses. All exported in a clear and neat file. Look no further, get it.

Really good app, so useful in its current form.

Finally a simple trip mileage logger that does not require any button pushing. Trips start and stop automatically upon activation of my Bluetooth earpiece. Once a day I get an email with my trips, including adresses. Very easy to transfer to excel.

Love it

So far, this is the best app to log my mileage automatically. When I sit in my car, the Bluetooth device connects to my phone and the program starts logging using the phone’s GPS without me having to do anything. I do not know any other program that accomplish this. There is a small bug in the export to .csv on my Nexus phone, Hope the dev will fix this soon. Would gladly pay for this app.

Works great meed to show mileage in miles

It is able to record all my mileage without me having to remember to turn the app on or off. Then it automatically emails me a report everyday!

Best mileage App. As soon as your phone sync with your Bluetooth device the app starts and stops when you un-sync then logs and emails daily

Worthless having a load of emails with mileage on them. Cannot add notes or anything to emailed file. Worthless when tracking miles for work and trying to differentiate between work and personal.
