I'm impressed with the app so far but having read the other reviews I can see you have many upgrades to go before you are able to utilize the full capacity of the Widex hearing aids. I would like to be informed about the future changes to bring it up to the communications standards of the media spectrum of today's capabilities.

Volume and next program features rarely work. Frustrating. For such an expensive product it would be nice to put a little work into the Android app, which should be able to do so much more.

Since the update to firmware 1.2, this app has been reliable. With the upgrade to version 1.3, has anyone else noticed increased battery drain on the COM-DEX? I'm using a Pixel phone.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT BAD BAD app. I regret buying this product. Given the very high price of the device I am seriously disappointed. yes it streams music but IN MONO. HORRID Bluetooth implemtation means clipping of sounds. Can't be used with Google Maps When setting sound direction (front, universal etc), the direction will not hold for more than a few seconds or minutes especially in a noisy environment. The product is a good idea but the software is truly awful in its current state. Their BEYOND app gives me better options for controlling the hearing aides BUT NEITHER WILL WORK if you install both. The product is so bad that I have my $20 motorola ear slug in one ear and my hearing aid in the other.

I like the polite way that Joe Jett on June 27, 2016 has expressed on this Widex app. Removing the polite part Widex, here in the world of telecommunication just say, NO, we at Widex do not want you to hear anything other than the phone call, expressly the phone call By the phone app. You are allowed to listen to music and calls from the phone only. When I look at apps like; Enhanced SMS & Caller ID+, and LG BT Reader Plus. I am saddened to find that I have spent so much money on Widex, and this does not let me hear a simple notification coming from Hangouts, Wire, Email or Facebook. And if I want to make calls with my Google phone number, or voice calls via social media apps I have to become a wizard to use COM-DEX. Someone here already said that this app serves only to know about the battery on the COM-DEX, no matter, I will charge this every day, volume and programs I can control them from my RC-DEX or the buttons on the hearing aid. I'm uninstalling this app and I'm actively looking for another brand of hearing aid that plays nice with Android. I hope they realize that not only the hearing aid should work well, now it is necessary to play nice with the other Android apps

I have a Samsung S7 and the app seems to work just fine. All features appear to work as advertised and I am happy with it. I like the fact I can stream music through the aids and no one is the wiser!

Unbelievably BAD. When it's working (which is rare), you can choose a direction that you want to concentrate on - which is it's main feature and is a good idea. However if you want to try another program to clarify what you are hearing it reverts back to omnidirectional hearing. Where is the logic in that? For each program you want to try, or if you want to revert to your first choice, you have to reset the hearing direction. To further anoy you, the device will randomly switch back to omnidirectional hearing. I've not idea what specifically causes it to swith itself back, it could be time or random noise. So if you are driving and have chosen to direct the deivce to hear your passenger, it will default back toomnidirectional without warning. That means you have to get your passenger to try and reset your phone direction for you. All of this can be a dangerous distraction from driving. I've just had my remote replaced under warranty (not repaired) and the new one has failed after only one day. From what I can see the company don't respond to the many compaints about this devcice. That alone should be a good reason not to buy their products.

It's not great. if you are in a noisy area and you want to change the programme settings the app doesn't show what programme it's currently using it only shows the word programme it should show Universal or Music etc

I wear bilateral hearing aids and have this app and device is a Godsend. I can now listen to my music and workout WITHOUT having to take out my VERY expensive hearing aids so I can wear ear buds. Thank you Widex!!!!! Hearing aid wearer for 40 years...

No use for this app because it won't "connect." Even though the hearing aids are connected to my phone, the app doesn't see the Bluetooth connection. When I hit connect, the app just loops back and says that it's disconnected. I've reset it by holding both buttons until I get a blue light, with necklace attached (unit on), and necklace disconnected (unit off). I've uninstalled & reinstalled the app. I'm shocked by how many bad reviews this app has.

I like this Com Dex. I don't know why but my first Com Dex which I lost, worked pretty well on my Samsung Galaxy 5. My new Com Dex keeps knocking me out of the mute feature on phone calls and with radio streams. I also have same connection problem as others say. Usually it just connects automatically when a call comes in. You don't have to have the app to use the Com Dex because you can control the volume on your phone. The app just let's you adjust the volume and do minor things. I DO like the Status check

The abilities of this awesome app are amazing (coming in a future version). It is very simple, intuitive and easy to understand (coming in a future version). Functions are clearly labeled and easy to understand. For example, to increase volume you simply press the "more clear" button. What could be clearer than that, means exactly what it says. To lower the volume, simply press the "more comfort" button. Hmmmmmmm The app comes up clearly showing that it is in demo mode, but have yet to figure out how to get it fully functional. To change programs, simply click next program. Programs are clearly labeled (coming in a future version) and easy to understand (coming in a future version). Then there's the Zen function. Description and instructions (coming in a future version). Changing sound direction function might work, until you switch to a different screen it, the ability to leave it there is (coming in a future version). Syriussly?!? Looks like a 10 year old got half way through this app,got tired of it and went back to playing games. If I wrote apps I would be embarrassed to put out this half finished product. Possibly the volume the direction functions are useful. no manual

To echo other remarks the app continuously drops my codex so I can't control the hearing aids. The aids are connected via Bluetooth and work as a Bluetooth device (phone, music, etc.). Bottom line, however, the app won't let me control my codex from my Android 5.1 OS

Constantly having to turn off Bluetooth, restart the comdex to get it to connect. Even then it looses the link. When you spend £189 on a device you expect it to work.... this doesn't

Incredible ... this app doesn't work with Android 5.0 or above on a Galaxy S4; Widex has known about this problem since the beginning of November; and the updates include language packs and landscape mode, but no fix? I've been waiting for a fix for almost 6 months. The website still claims the app is compatible with the S4. FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING.

U70%

Echoing others that this app seems like a good idea in theory but it continually drops and refuses to recognize the COM-DEX sometimes. The app will be working just fine for hours and then all of a sudden the COM-DEX just disappears from the app. The COM-DEX is still connected to my phone however (Moto X Pure w/ Android 6.0) and happily streaming Spotify regardless. It's just annoying though because at that point I have no ability to tweak the audio with the app. What's the point of this app if it can't even utilize your bluetooth connections.

Among other thi7ngs, i use this to control the volume in my hearing aids. But every time someone sends me a text or the phone does anything for that matter, my aid volume resets to defailt. I can stop this by unplugging the neck lanyard but then I can't receive calls.. They should be able to fix this with a modification of the app.

The micrphone OFF works only in streaming mode. It emits an endless series of annoying beeps when activated otherwise. Awaiting a firmware update for the Comdex. Samsung S4 mini, Kitkat 4.4.2

Can't get it to work on my Droid Turbo. It "sees" my Com-Dex but always says "Device is disconnected. Tap to connect." and then never connects, ever. It does work with calls and streaming audio on my phone, I just can't use the app to get to the advanced features. Very sad and frustrated. :(
