Q1: I am using WinZip to compress JPEGs, but the size didn’t change much. Why?
A1: In order to compress your photos as much as possible, without any loss of photo quality, in the app Settings, choose Zipx (Best Method). This compression method examines each file and selects the compression option most likely to supply the best compression results.
Q2: I used WinZip to protect a folder of files with a password, but the list of files can still be viewed. Why?
A2: Even though the files or folder is encrypted, the file names can still be viewed (but not the file content). For this reason, we recommend that you avoid using confidential information in file or folder names. For example, avoid using account numbers or ID numbers (such as a social insurance number) in file or folder names.
Q3: Why does WinZip Android need permission to access "Device ID & call information" permission?
A3: This general access permission is used to better understand the device info when feedback is sent through email and for the WinZip app coordination and tracking with Google.

This app is great for opening zipped files, but sometimes i can't find were the files are, i would have gave the app 5 stars ✨ only for that reason. But i would definitely recommend WinZip.

Installed it. It crashed on first open, opened it again. Was able to locate my zip file. Selected where to unzip it to, crashed again . Uninstalling. And yes my phone is new and up to date.

Just downloaded the app on 1 device for work. Trying to copy some individual files within a zip folder. Crashes everytime. Thought maybe buying the full version would fix it however same result. If you can get this fixed, I will be buying 200 licences. If not, I will have to go elsewhere.

It was frustrating when i zipped pics using this software and i am unable to recover them by unzipping. Not even windows is able to unzip files compressed by this software. This totally wasted all my important data :/

Every time I attempted to extract a file it said the file was corrupt. I then bluetoothed the same file to another phone and wasn't able to unzip it without any issues.

it won't unzip the file of pictures. I have tried 3 times and it forced closed all 3 times, after unzipping only 6 pictures. I am very frusterated. I even tried to unzip one photo at a time but it would not let me. Will be deleting.

What have you done? App used to not support zipx. Then you updated it and I could unzip my zipx files created on my licenced version of WinZip for pc. Now I have lost the facility again! What is happening? Keeps saying zipx file is corrupt. This is paid version.

Who would've thought that Winzip would make its way into the mobile realm! I've been using it in Windows for a while, and I'm glad to be able to have it on all of my Android devices! The app is very straight forward to use, very simple interface! From an accessibility standpoint, the app is completely accessible for blind and partially sighted users using screenreading technology! High 5 for integrating Dropbox and Google Drive connectivity. I can now manage my files like I would on an actual computer. Makes switching from laptop to tablet worth the while! Would love to see support for OneDrive in a future release. Great work!

On LGMS345, opening 7Zip or RAR to see files shows an extra folder of the archives name with a letter cut off. Doesnt write to SD card. Option to show hidden files. Option for viewing archives that doesnt copy them to the WinZip folder, that creates them in the current folder. OneDrive, Box cloud. Rename "SD Card" to "Phone Storage". Open Tar, Gzip, Bzip2. Increase visibility of the Zip and Unzip buttons. Menu for the directory could have Settings, with Zip Strength at the top. Sort by size descending.
