What is the Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine?
The Systematic Approach to Tasting® (SAT) is a method of note taking developed by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust to make tasting notes more objective and comparable.
The methodology breaks down the evaluation of wine, spirits or sake into appearance, nose, palate and conclusion, supported by universal terminology.

The SAT is published at four progressive levels of difficulty in support of the four levels WSET qualifications available. This app has been built for wines at level two making it suitable for those who are new to the SAT method as well as those that have completed WSET courses.

A systematic approach to tasting provides wine tasters with a foundation on which to build and develop their skills. The SAT forms an integral part of all WSET courses.

The Wine & Spirit Education Trust
WSET is the world’s leading provider of wine, spirits and sake education. Our nine qualifications are available through a network of course providers in over 70 countries and 19 languages. WSET courses and qualifications are sought by both wine professionals and enthusiasts with over 500,000 candidates studying with WSET since 1969. To explore our qualifications visit our website.

Really quick and easy to use, well done WSET

by C####:

Please make a version for levels 3 and 4!

by F####:

I think you could include a similar application for Level 3, even for Level 4 should be better.

by Y####:

Can't edit notes and it's a little clunky, I always email developers before posting.... They won't fix what I've mentioned

by J####:

Add ability to take a photo of the bottle. Long term you'll be able to use machine learning to auto populate the wine details or intergrate with vivino at worst.

by R####:

A brilliant, intuitive tool for both WSET students and dedicated wine lovers who want to keep concise/consistent notes of their tastings. My fingers are crossed that a version based on levels 3 and/or 4 will be released at some point...!

by A####:

Is a good try. Missing the later edit, WSET level3, when I add a photo, it should start with a camera, and not a choose. Right and left navigation shoukd work between the categories. On regions, if I add a region it should remain in the list (in Hungary it exists only Tokaj region, but Villany, Szekszard... ). Looking forward for the next version.
