Xero Accounting Software

Xero on the web is great, but this app is so basic as to be of no real value. I can't even create an invoice with it as it says line items need a tax rate but there's no UI to specify one. Still broken after many months, totally useless app.

App crashes when I try to classify a transaction where there is no match already generated. Kindly advise?

Website program is good, both apple and android apps lack lots of features and functions. Also update of info never works fully

Everytime I add this app to my phone it crashes and messes up my phone. I've been thru 3 phones in 2 weeks becouseof this app.

Other than the occasional invoice(hardly ever) this app is abit useless to me. It has the Xero simplicity but is lacking features such as bills, quotes, reports, etc. Hate to say it but other accounting apps are ahead as far as mobile apps

Lacks cis tick box. Like kashflow has such a simple thing that means I have to calculate and minus it my self. That and I can't quote from the app I have to log into a web browser to send a quote whilst out.

Great and easy to use. It is really designed as a viewer of data rather than a full portable accounts system. Works well for me.

I use Google auth to login to xero.. I therefore can't use this app currently. ????

I think this is a must have tool for any business on the go..

The desktop version of Xero is excellent though the app is lacking, and it doesn't appear as if there is enough focus on bringing more functionality to the app at this stage. I would like to see more of the functionality provided by the desktop version available for the app. As a simple example you can't view your outstanding bills in the app. This seems to me like basic information to have in an app.

This app is NOT free. It is very basic accounting and won't work for our small business because it doesn't track mileage or inventory. It's difficult to use because it won't allow any changes or deletions to transactions.

As a new company, Chips and Dinks, we are very impressed with the Xero app and accounting system. It is so incredibly easy to take a photo, rename it and go on to quickly approve it all from the phone and when out and about if necessary. Getting the accounts right is always a concern - particularly when you are 'new to the game' - so for peace of mind and its ease of use we can't recommend Xero enough.

Hi I can log in through the website but when I use the app (I'm an employee) my employer's company isn't listed or linked.

Works quite well. However there needs to be an easier way to quickly capture receipts for expensing later on. Right now it's too slow to grab a picture of a receipt and add some data and I don't want to clutter up my regular photo album with endless receipts. I would like to quickly take a picture of one and have them sit in a bin inside the app to later deal with.

Regarding quotes - the "Show Details" link used to expand the summary but now it does not. Please fix this - it's pretty important! Access to the quotes is useless when I can't read the summary. The other gestures I've tried are lacking. I'm still using Xero via the browser when I need to access it on my mobile, which is quite painful.

Xero app is dreadfully dissapointing! Coming from QuickBooks which is fantastic Xero seems overpriced over rated and under wellming QuickBooks $22 Xero$55

Do not give them your credit card details. They make it very difficult to cancel subscription. The software is that user friendly.

Seems good so far. Prompts me to set up a log in pin. Dont that but still askes to set it every time i go to use the app

From a bookkeeper this is a good app for xero users, way better than myob or qbooks. You can invoice, add receipts, reconcile and more

If you pay for their fancy multicurrency plan you can't you can still not change from your base currency which is the main use for this app and then it automatically renders it useless.

Poor excuse for an app. Cannot split transactions, and often will not match even when the transactions actually do.

Good invoice system

Probably the worst web to mobile port I've ever seen. I can't even view my company I can only view this stupid demo company that I don't care about because I'm an employee and it means nothing to me. The web version is perfect. This is beyond trash

Very glitchy, can't open app today with my pin or my account password. Extremely frustrating.

My account convinced me to subscribe to the service, the app itself is useless, ui is so poor and unfriendly it kills you. I have started doing more work to sort things out and spend more time doing it then before with accounts. Also can't upload files or pdf with the app. Pretty useless really

Doesn't work in landscape mode on the tablet. No reports. It's only good for reconciling expenses. The rest is too fiddly and much easier on a PC.

Mediocre program. Expensive for what it does. Far better options out there for far less money.

What's happened? I can no longer open the app. Have uninstalled and reinstalled.

I literally use the app to upload receipts into the files inbox. I do most of our accounts via my desktop so not used the app for much. But seems ok great concept

Super limiting compared to the site. Can't view returns or anything bar creating invoices really.

I won't go into every issue, but this app doesn't do half of what it should. Every feature feels half baked, the design is terrible, and even simple things are done poorly, such as not even displaying invoice numbers in the invoices list. That kind of thing makes it so much more difficult to manually reconcile payments. So much room for improvement here!
