About TimeWise: A Pomodoro Timer

Boost your productivity by optimising how you use your time. TimeWise provides an easy to use Pomodoro timer to allow you to simply apply the Pomodoro Technique®. The Pomodoro Technique® was devised to help you get things done quicker whilst minimising loss of concentration.

A Pomodoro consists of a work period which is followed by a break, before starting on the next task. Complete four pomodoros and it's time to take an extended break. This app will help you manage this process, allowing you to concentrate on the tasks at hand and relax during your well earned breaks.

TimeWise will help you define and prioritise a list of tasks you need to do. You can also estimate the number of pomodoros a task will take and plan your time accordingly. Then by encouraging the use of the Pomodoro Technique®
TimeWise will help you split these tasks up into manageable periods with regular short breaks in between.

Keep track of how much work you have done today and always know what you are going to work on next. You can also easily see how accurate your pomodoro estimates were to further understand how your time is being used and plan your time even better in the future.

Features:
- Define and prioritise task lists so you always know what you'll be working on next.
- Pomodoro timer to keep track of progress while working on a task and inform you when it's time to take a break.
- Personalize using green, red, or blue themes
- Collect statistics about progress made each day and also view overall statistics about your work, see the number of pomodoros against each task along with weekly and overall pomodoro counts.
- Fully configurable to match your work style. Configure the length of a pomodoro, a regular break and extended break along with the number of work tasks to be completed before an extended break to best optimise how you use your time.

What are users saying about TimeWise: A Pomodoro Timer

by D####:

best Pomodoro Timer for one reason: it can handle Doze. So many pomodoro apps seem to have a serious problem when my phone falls asleep. This one still keeps the right time when I wake it up. I wish more apps could handle it.

D70%
by D####:

I like to have the ability to set a list of task and specify it's pomodoro duration but, the app has all the feature I need but extended break don't work. Sorry but 3 stars

D70%
by D####:

The timer becomes inactive when the Android device sleeps.

D70%
by D####:

The timer for the short break doesn't work. Just freezes on 4 mins remaining.

I70%
by I####:

It is good but can only handle one task. One can not program two tasks in one day.

A70%
by A####:

Nice layout, but the timer either stops or disappears, and after this I have to start over again.

N70%
by N####:

Required: Custum Time Adjustment for each Activity, from the main counter UI.

D70%
by D####:

I wish the timer would work even in the background.

D70%
by D####:

I wanted a timer that would allow me to make a list of tasks to do and use the pomodoro technique to complete each task. This app does just that, and even has statistics for completed tasks/pomodoro's, etc... The only thing I would change is to have an option to automatically start the break and second pomodoro (if multiple pomodoro's are needed) without having to press a button to start them. An ad-free version and a widget (current task + time left on task or break) would also be nice.

D70%
by D####:

Abandonware at this point. Break-end alarms don't seem to sound sometimes. When the break alarm sounded while in focus, I hit the home screen button, switched back to the app and it asked me to start my break (even though I just finished it). I like how it keeps track of how many pomodoros are put toward tasks in a day and the extended stat page it has.

D70%
by D####:

Is there a way for this app to save weekly pomodoro reports? Because I want to see a monthly view of the tasks that I completed. Love the simplicity of this app..if only I can sync and save the data to a google+ account

So useful when you have to do a lot of work for the next day and that u feel lazy

F70%
by F####:

many of my pomodoro sessions don't get recorded in the completed tab. One Langston seems to be if I don't take a break after the pomodoro. Also off the ask it's in the background when the timer ends, it's not recorded.

D70%

This apk is Good for use But there is some featuer that made it more useful, like more custom them, more ringtone, able to label and custom sound for process like study , rest,...

D70%

Even after multiple updates, issue has not been fixed

C70%
by C####:

My only main gripe with this app is that it drains the battery like crazy, regardless if it's playing in the background or if you have the app open. Please fix!

One thing to get five stars. To add ability to choose songs.

D70%

All it needs is to add export function in excel formats.

X70%

Small request if they could make the app work in background

Captures the true essence of the pomodoro technique, by assigning the number of pomodoros to a task and working on it steadily with short and long breaks. Hope that there could be widgets (pomotodo 's widgets are really nice *hint hint*). And like previous users mention, other additions could be to have a ticking timer in the notification bar, and lock screen widget that does the countdown. Loving it so far, hope there will be other improvements soon :)

If you are familiar with the technique that this app is based on then this is a simple free option to achieve your pomodoro goals. It is customizable (timewise lol) and allows a steady progression of increased intervals (achieved manually). It works locked or on another screen also it is intuitive enough to use the first time.

How do I see history of completed tasks?

G70%
by G####:

The thing I like best about this app is that I can use it to remind myself to take breaks- get up and stretch once in a while in the middle if a project. However, a couple things I would like to see added are the ability to remove tasks from your list of completed ones (for those times when you accidentally set the timer for the wrong thing), and the ability to have long tasks and short tasks. I have also recently had a problem where my timer resets part way though.

Beautiful visually, but uses wake locks to keep the device awake the whole time during a pomodoro, killing battery. If this were fixed (by using an alarm to wake the device at the right time) then I could recommend.

S70%

UI is nice, but cost too much battery

S70%
by S####:

I like the statistics feature very much, but often it stops working and the pomodoro just resets. I can't use it like this and have to find another app till this gets fixed!

S70%

Killed my battery in about two hours. Also, there's no option to get rid the ads. A pity, because it's really well-designed otherwise

S70%
by S####:

I've tried a ton of them. This is the only one I could find that is bug free while also tracking task stats.

P70%
by P####:

It's beautiful and the task integration is exactly what I was looking for. In the statistics it would be nice to compare this week to previous week performance.

X70%
by X####:

This is one of the best pomodoro apps on the market Good job guys

Q70%

This is the best pomodoro app ever!!!!!

O70%

Nice app to apply the effective technique

S70%

How do I see history of completed tasks?

S70%
by S####:

After looking at several pomodoro apps, this is the stand out for me. Only thing I wish it had are profiles to keep tasks separated based on current major activity. Ie: Work and Home... or MajorProject1 and MajorProject2... etc.

S70%
by S####:

Good app but not convenient without a widget
