When I record video using this app and go to play it back, it's just a still image and the sound from the video. When I record using the native camera app, all is fine. So this app is the issue. Also having issues with taking panoramic pictures. It doesn't stitch all of the pictures together. I can deal with out the panoramic pictures, but the video not playing is a major deal breaker. Taking the gimbal back because the app won't work correctly.

With a little bit of efforts from developpers and software team engineers, this application could be able to provide a far way better experience. Keep digging guys, you're almost there. - Timelapse feature allowing slow panning/tilting would have been incredible.

Extremely poor port from iOS. Running a Samsung S7 with 4k video capability and the app limits the resolution to 1920x1080, WHY???. Build quality of the Smooth-Q appears to be good but let down by amateur software. Also what's with all the permissions the app needs because it doesn't need most of them! When will 4K video support be added or should I buy a gimbal from another manufacturer?

I have an LG G3. All the reviews seem bad, but the time lapse function seems to work great for me, even the motion ones. No 4k or slow motion function, but man, this gimbal is great. The app is a step behind, but it's much better than everyone is making out to be, at least with my phone. Get the last couple features active and this is 5 stars all day for me.

The time-lapse tracking doesn't work... The tracking function doesn't work other than that it is good Will give 5 stars once the tracking is fixed in updates

List of requests- 1. Movement tracking in this app 2. Exposure lock 3. Focus lock #1 is already in the assistant app, why use two apps? #2 & #3 would improve motion timelapses a great deal.

Why does this app need contacts & location access? When will you fix this? Or are you stealing data from users!?

Can't change storage location. Can't change camera mode. Weak apps, that's all can say. Hopefully they update the software.

I think the app has alot of potentials but it also has alot of glitches. Like for starters when you use the app to shoot a video and then you try to play it the video remains still while the voices are still going and after the voices are done then the video will follow not good.

I believe this can do better. The auto panoramic I am pleased. But what happened to face tracking. Please add feature please and thanks for the auto panoramic.

So far it sucks. After denying permission to make phone calls, it goes blank.

There is absolutely no reason for this app to request permission to "ZY Play to make and manage phone calls"

Why does the app need to take pictures when I'm timelapsing on my crane? Can't we get an app that controls the camera? No need for another phone camera app that is bad

No 4k not even 1080p 60fps

Can't even get it to connect to my phone.

I tried recording videos with this app and all I got was audio and no video. I also lost a one-time video of an event then I can never recap again. Do not put any faith in this app! Purchased the Zhiyun Smooth Q gimbal specifically for use with this app. I am pretty sure I will be returning this product very shortly!

Installed it and not sure why it needs my location, to make calls/messages and access to device info. No way! I'll use it without app until all these permissions are fixed. Its just a handheld stabilizer, no reason to access all our information. If not fixed, ill be returning it back to the store & getting another less intrusive brand. Fix it!

Previously i had given it 2 stars because of lack of timelapse or refinement new update of app is bit better.. Thanks for listening Only issue i got was constantly crashing at end of timelapse.. Improved my feedback to 4 stars as app is bit more stable now Keep up the good work

First of all, the app on Google play store only has pictures of the iPhone, this is a little lazy. Moving on to the app, there is no face tracking feature available for Android which is half the reason i purchased the product, do you have any idea when this will be? I've noticed testing the gimbal on the iPhone version it's already available. The app is more stable then the old Zhiyun assistant however has less features. Once improved I'll review again.

App is bad. As most have said, lacks features you advertise as setting it apart from competition. This app has time lapse, slow mo and another feature but no object follow. The Zhiyun Assistant app has object follow but none of the other modes. Why should I need to use two apps? Furthermore, the object tracking on the assistant app does not work well. Loses the object even when it's still in the screen and tracks slow as shiz. Please help us Android users out before you lose customers to DJI.

1. First thing my AVG picked up that there is ad-wear in this app. Out of 100s of app. Why should this do that? 2. App needs access to your location in order to connect to gimbal Bluetooth!!! Fix please. 3. Why does app need access to my phone and identity? (If I don't allow it. It won't open) Please fix this. Should be simple. And easy to use. No intend on other stuff. Hope zhiyun fix the permission and bloatware with thier app.

Garbage! First of all the app is false advertising because all screenshots are from the IOS app. No 4k video, no panoramic mode, saved videos only show the first frame.

This app is not for Zhiyun Crane, cant use time lapse properly. When i start time lapse, my phone video recording which is annoying.

Horrible still image quality ruined my hours of shooting pay-to-entrer archaeological sites on my Greek holiday. Absolutely unacceptable. My photos are unusable. I wish the Smooth 3 controls worked with the stock Camera App on my Galaxy S7 edge because the Zhiyen app for Android makes me really unhappy with my purchase.

I've got it recording 4k on my HTC M9 as standard but the feature I really wanted was the Motion Time Lapse but this seems to be limited to 1080p. Is this right? Is there a way to do the Motion Time Lapse but output individual image files not a movie?

Why all the sketchy permissions? I fail to see why a camera app needs access to my phone, location, etc. Uninstalled.

Requires the access to the phone calls... Why? Other apps improve their app without requiring this permission.

Not able to do the time lapse in android... Everytime I start recording, phone camera gets activated... Is there any update to come?

Not working with galaxy s7. Going to return Smooth 3 to vendor.

Needs to support 4K for those mobiles capable of it.

I am happy to see an Android version of zy play, and I hope to see improvement. One thing important is the external micro phone. Cinema fv is one for your reference. A Bluetooth mic option will be excellent. Certainly, the tracking function is also needed.
