Kid Mode: Free Learning Games

It was a fantastic app. I could set the timer for 30 minutes, do a few chores and leave my pre-schooler with my phone with the comfort that he wouldn't be able to get out of the app all while learning some cool things or watching some videos without concerns. Giving him my phone twice a week meant a bit of game time for him and some time to do chores uninterrupted for me. Nothing is working. There are no videos, no games, nothing. They keep 'loading' with no response. Such a shame

My son used to play on this all the time when it was the older version, was excited when he say the new version as it looks colourful now it just says loading all the time! What's the point in having an app if your not going to fix the problems with it? Downloaded a different app for him now. This one is absolutely rubbish!

This infernal application came pre-loaded on my phone and just like nearly every other pre-loaded bloatware application that manufacturers and carriers love to load phones up with, it sucks. This application likes to turn itself on from time to time at seemingly completely random intervals. Once it's on, it sucks down battery like you wouldn't believe. To reiterate, the application itself is dogshit. The people responsible for creating it are dogshit. And the people responsible for successfully negotiating to have it pre-loaded on my HTC phone on the Sprint network are dogshit. To sum it all up, DOGSHIT.

Not only could you do more with it- like record yourself reading the stories and hear the stories being read; add stickers to the drawings and make them bigger and smaller - which my daughter loved- but it just had a simpler and better user interface. My daughter loved the bells dinging and she knew that platform inside and out. The only reason you have 2 stars is because at least you fixed the loading issues in this new terrible version of a once great app.

When you have an toddler, they hit everywhere on the screen and constantly hit the home key and back out of the app in use. Kid mode needs to be customizable to lock/designate buttons on device since this is a launcher ui. This is possible and don't understand went these options are not available.

Why does a phone, which shouldn't be in the hands of a minor, be obligated to keep and update itself? I understand if it's a tablet but a phone? You want kids to learn get a nabi, leapfrog, books, but a phone turned this modern generation in online social idiots more than online intellectuals seeking to enhance their knowledge. Sad.

I loved the zoodles kids mode from a few years back and with every update I experience more and more glitches. I have the premium version too but I will be canceling and uninstalling. Videos, and games won't load, even after trying all the suggestions on the FAQ page. It won't let me record books. And it makes me put in my child's info everytime I open the app. It's a complete waste. So frustrating, it was a great concept but the glitches ruined it.

This app has gone from bad to worse to completely useless. Originally Zoodles was an excellent tool my granddaughter loved it. Then became Kid Mode and no longer had the content she liked and now won't launch at all. I would like to uninstall but will only uninstall updates. Very poor.

This crapp's been pre-installed on my HTC Desire 628. Today I decided to give it a try, updated, launched, configured. That was a really bad idea! Now I can't use my phone. The crapp keeps telling: "Oops, try this again later, when your device is connected to the internet". It is connected, dumb zoodles!

Horrible app. Games are horrible and no fun. Videos have awful sound and picture quality. Profile pictures change on their own and they can click on adds and still access internet including google. Useless. Would never recommend this to anyone.

Well, I would have given this app a much higher rating as my daughter really liked it. HOWEVER once in "kid mode" my phone was hijacked! There was no turning it off, getting to any other screen. Had to boot from safe mode to delete

I downloaded this on my brand new phone. Only used the app a few times. About the third time I used it, it froze up. No matter what I did, I couldn't get out of it. I restarted my phone, it was still there. I turned my phone off, waited, then turned my phone on. It was still there. I was finally able to get it to work enough to get out of it. I am uninstalling. Terrible app.

I absolutely love that the virtual buttons are inaccessible and my 20 month old can't exit the app. I do wish, however that "The Wiggles" videos worked (says 'unavailable') and my phone would stop asking me if I'd like to complete an action using KidsMode when the app is closed. The navigation is a bit difficult for my toddler, but he isn't given technology frequently so they may contribute his struggle.

This and more compulsory HTC apps take up ludicrous and much needed memory space, please put this right!! Fgs my youngest child is 33!!!! and he's too intelligent to want his kids in front of screens, his or mine! I want this and all the other, dot view, news screen etc off my phone or I'll return to Samsung!

I have no children, and won't be giving my phone to someone else's child to play with, so this is just bloatware for me. I would literally give you 5*'s for nothing if you made this so it could be uninstalled.

Nothing but the drawing works. I might have let my toddler play with it if there was something to actually play! Zero games load, zero videos load, zero books. I went into the parent dashboard to try and see if I could solve it. By the time I got to the part where you can presumably choose what plan you have....it crashed, 3 times, had to restart my phone. I might have considered paying, depending on price, but can't even get there. So it's a compulsory app on my HTC that I can do nothing with :(

My 'kid' is not yet 3 and she can play movies or talking Tom just fine without this stupid mode. Yet I'm forced to have it and forced to update it. It should be optional as not all users are the same. What about those users that dont have kids?? Or the ones that don't give there phones to their kids????? It's like you people only think everyone has stupid kids that must be spoon fed until they leave home. I have to edit this cause your keyboard always makes me type with errors.

All games videos etc just say loading all the time. Can't make any changes to profile or add child. Basically can't do anything except open the app.

This app came installed on my phone and I thought it would be great for my 3 year old as I don't typically have games on my phone. I let her use it and then I could not get out of the app. I tries restarting my phone, completely shutting down and restarting it and every time he only thing I could access was this stupid app!! I finally found a way around it by going through Google and opening settings to Force Stop and then Disabled the app. Unfortunately I cannot delete it because it came pre-installed.

All my children have there own electronics and over the age of 18. So how to remove from phone is not easy even after I disabled it...it keeps popping up in my updates...grr

Downloaded the game and it simply does not open. I select the app to use it, it starts to load and then closes. Very disappointed! Such a waste in data

The idea is fantastic and my boys love it...when it works. It seems that every update takes a step back. This last one won't load any content. Please fix.....still no update to fix after 6 months

This app sucks I tapped on it accidentally and it didn't stop bothering me! It came pre-installed on my phone so I can't delete it! This app is so annoying!

Downgraded my rating DRASTICALLY! This new "Kids Mode" is an UTTER DISASTER! Updated 12/3/16 Ok, I gave you idiots one last chance. This is your second update of Kids mode and NOTHING HAS CHANGED! My child, who is now 6, spent 3 of her first 5 years ENJOYING this umbrella app. I LOVED the original Zoodles. Since Samsung Galaxy phone EV-ER-Y TIME!I have to restart my phone EV-ER-Y TIME! And it will STILL BE RUNNING AS MY DEFAULT LAUNCHER?! That is just ONE of the downfalls of this app. I regret to say I am sorely disappointed in you. I am sad to see the original Zoodles gone FOREVER. I will NEVER use this app again!

****WARNING**** DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. It is impossible to close once you open it. Numerous exit buttons throughout the dashboard DO NOT WORK. Thank God I used it on a separate account and was able to uninstall from the main account after resetting. I could not press the home button or use task manager to exit.

My new phone uses colorOS and doesn't work basically at all, just crash after crash. Worked flawlessly on the HTC. Any chance of more colorOS support?

The fact this sucks up space on my phone and demands to be updated, and is impossible to remove is the very definition of 'bloatware'. I do not have, not am I planning to have a child., so simply being told "just disable it in the apps!" Is absurd as it leeches space that could be used for things I actually care about.

This ised to be our favorite app. Then you made it loud, crazy, and full of cartoonish characters. Ick. My whole family deleted it. Mind you that is roughly 50 android devices.

I've used Zoodles before and liked it. Tried to download this one to my new phone. The app tried to take over my home button and wouldn't actually open to set up

I have absolutely no use for this app, yet you insist on making this a permanent app for everyone? I could save so much more space for more important stuff but no I have to have this and other Crap just sitting there on my phone.

Last version had more options available like adding ur own games an the free version does not. Also had better video selections an if there was a video u did not want ur child to view u could choose to have it excluded. Very nice animation with newer version but prefer older version by far. If I were to have the older version I would have given 5 stars.

Google zoodles with Bbb complaints! The give u a free trial but no way to cancel it before your charged. The website is useless and the link to login does nothing so after the trial they will charge you for services that you have been trying for days to cancel. The phone number that I found for them is useless as well as its a Google voice number. All of the content listed in the app is simply links 2 YouTube episodes of elmo and others. Run far away frm this app or be prepared to dispute ur life away 4ur$

I'll admit, it seems like a great idea for people WITH children, but I myself do not have any and therefore don't need this app. I've tried to uninstall and remove it, but I can only uninstall updates and not the app itself, I definitely do not like having it as a waste of space on my phone as I'm already limited (HTC phone have horrible storage). Not to mention that after trying to use it for my nephew I found out the app doesn't even work! With updates and all!! I'd give no stars if only I could.

My five year old has sat over an hour waiting for the game category to load.. same with videos.. only thing that actively opens is the drawing but it won't save images like it used to... Fix this n I'll go bk to five stars

This seems great for people who have children of the age to make good use of it. But for those of us who have older children or no children, it would be nice to be able to uninstall it! It is not needed, and I shouldn't have to deal with constant updates for apps that I don't want, use, or need.

This app to date has been good and would have been very worthy of four to five stars. Unfortunately the most recent update has left it so that in the jungle section on all users all that can be seen in the games and video sections is loading. Nothing changes with it and my two little ones are devastated as they used to love it

New update is horrible, it went from a great learning/distraction for my 2 year old to something she can't use. Release the old one under a different name. Update July 2016: Even worse now. Videos don't show up. Is there anywhere to go except the jungle?

I was really excited to use this app with my toddler and it was working well. however recently nothing loads, there is no helpful advice in the FAQ's and it just seems like it's taking up space on my phone. Some help to fix this would be great because I would use it if it actually worked - rather than constantly saying 'loading' when it comes to anything but drawing.

Since I use my phone more than my kids, I hate the fact that you have to jump through so many hoops just to exit back to just a grown up phone whenever it is activated. My HTC came with it installed so I can't even delete the app. Kids love it though.
