تضخم البروستاتا وعلاجها

يحدث تضخُّم البروستاتا الحميد (بالإنجليزية: Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia أو Prostate Enlargement) لدى جميع الرّجال تقريباً مع تقدُّمهم في السِّن، وما يُقارب نصف الرّجال الذين تزيد أعمارهم عن 75 عاماً تظهر لديهم بعض أعراض تَضَخُّم البروستاتا. عند تَضَخُّم حجم البروستاتا التي تُحيط بالإحليل قد تضغط أو تمنع جُزئيّاً مجرى البَوْل، ممّا يُسبّب مشاكل عند التبوُّل. Benign prostatic hyperplasia occurs (in English: Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia or Prostate Enlargement) almost all men as they age, and nearly half of men over the age of 75 years have shown some symptoms of an enlarged prostate. When the size of enlarged prostate that surrounds the urethra may press or partially prevent the urethra, causing problems when urinating.
