Die Ottersweier App
Die App ist kostenlos und besteht aus etwa 21 Themenbereichen, die ein Konzentrat aus den Inhalten des Web-Portals darstellen. Sie steht für die Betriebssysteme iOS und Android zur Verfügung. Neben Veranstaltungen und Aktuellem enthält die App auch hinzu detaillierte Informationen mit Geo-Funktionen zu Essen & Trinken, Übernachtung, Öffentlichen Einrichtungen, Bauplätzen, Rad- & Wanderwegen, zielgruppenorientierten Angeboten („Dein Tag“) oder dem „Arbeitskreis Asyl“. Integriert ist standardmäßig auch die „Mängelmeldung“.

Wichtig ist die Kartenfunktion mit sämtlichen standortbezogenen Informationen sowie der „LiveGuide“ Ottersweier: Der virtuelle Ottersweier Guide basiert auf „Augmented Reality“, mit dem man sich live in Ottersweier bewegen kann.

Die Gemeinde hat für eine Plattform gesorgt, die mobile Angebote bündelt und über eine große Reichweite verfügt. Ein besonderes Feature der App ist die Schnäppchen-Suche. Im Rahmen des Crossmedia-Konzepts werden die Inhalte der Website mit den App-Inhalten synchronisiert. Die Daten stehen damit ohne Mehraufwand auf verschiedenen Plattformen (Web, Mobile, Apps) zur Verfügung und können zudem noch frei strukturiert in der Ottersweier-App kombiniert werden.

Die App benötigt die Kamera-Berechtigung, um für die AugmentedReality-Funktion darauf zugreifen zu können.
