Wavesink Plus DAB+ FM-RDS for Android
Works, But the GUI needs work, also would like some essential features: like a quick scan button. favorites list. better selection of radio channel. maybe Channellist/frequency profiles to select if you are in a different broadcasting region etc. Would also be cool if it supported NFM(VHF/UHF) but far from essential.
Won't work in Australia paid $18 for no reason can't get refund. If you're in Australia don't even bother.
This works great, but i would like to see a widget because i use this as my main radio in my car, and it would be nice to have the radio on the front page like i can with spotify and tunein
All fixed and working perfectly could do with a now playing banner on dab thanks
Shows channels in trail mode but nothing in plus mode!!!!!!!
The trial version worked OK so I bought the Plus version which turned out to be a "MINUS" version. The app kept stopping and showing USB error, would no longer save stations, required me to restart the driver before each session and regularly wanted verification so if you were without internet connection the app would not work. Its a shame because it showed great promise. Luckily paid with PayPal and reported my dissatisfaction and received a full refund.
I get good clear reception when I lock onto a station. Big problem is current version keeps losing stations scanned and has to be rerun which can take 5 mins or more. It is also seems to have lost the capability to keep manually save tuned FM stations and always seems to open on a station with the message that it is not recognised. Text could be larger when scanning for those without 20:20 vision.
64k streams don't sound good. Key checking online is annoying if you have no gprs data. Other than that its bloody ace :)
Technically brilliant but poor UX. It certainly works well enough when paired with a decent aerial, but: It requires a hardware back button, which my device does not have. A home screen widget and ability to save preset stations would make it much better. The same station appears several times in the list making selecting a station harder than it should be.
The app and what it does is really good, but the user interface is not great. This could be great for those that use it in the car while driving. It needs to be more intuitive and user friendly. A button to switch between DAB and FM / AM (can it receive AM or even MW?). An alphabetical channel list for DAB to scroll through and select the radio station. Where DAB is poor, an auto scan of FM would be good. Happy to provide a more detailed view of what could make it better for users
Poor UI, and screen rotation doesnt work properly - always rotates to upside down (for me) landscape mode - useless for my car install. No response or support from developers. So much potential, but not delivered.
This is the only DAB radio app I could find that allows the use of generic usb sdr receivers and so is great in that it make this a possibility at all. I'm using it for a tablet car installation. Unfortunately after testing the free demo and finding it okay, unlike the free version the expensive paid version does not auto rotate (leaving the UI upside down on my screen) and the last station played on exiting the app is not saved meaning you have to reselect it on a new launch. Disappointed for the cost.
I have the app installed in my Android media system in my car. It works fine but as it is in the car I do not have a contiguous WiFi connection and the app need to validate from time to time. Consequently I often loose the use of it until I return home and connect it via my phone as a hotspot and re-validate by opening the app and allowing it to connect via the Web. Another nice to have is to step right and left one station at a time by tapping the screen.
This will no longer load up all I get is that its stopped not happy nearly £10 for something I can't use
Stations with half sample rate (24kHz) sound terrible. RDS AF list doesn't show in the Plus edition but works fine in the Trial version.
Flakey app, clunky interface, half text half hard to use app, needs a refund option
Wellwellwell
Newer July version in UK on Xperia Z stock based 4.4.2. Best to use with auxiliary power using y-cable.
Need to make the user interface customise so other people can spend time who have better knowledge. Keep getting a cricket sound on dab+ every 2sec. Besides that great app. Good reception compared to other apps of same nature. Have you thought about dvb-t using same RTL. Would be great seller I bet. Keep up good work
Please Please please make your apk. Autoscan on boot/startup. Or even better save the last scan. It is unacceptable that each time you use the apk. The system takes 5 minutes to scan.

A very good app, but needs some issue fixed - > It doesn't keep stored stations. > You need to rescan every time you use it (this take about 5 minutes). > It would be really good if it had an quit button. But glad I purchased it.
I would give it 5 stars if it was not re-scanning radio channels every time the app is launched, that being said it is just such an awesome app.
Can you make equalizer or something to tune sound and ect? Great app by the way, needs some interface upgrade, more animation ect.
Really like this app.. apart from it will not store radio stations! Until this is fixed, this app is useless to me as I use it as a car radio! Please fix.

The app looks a little dated but actually performs very well visually and DAB decoding. The info on the screen is very good detailing frequency, DAB information, FM information, Frequency tuned and phase display. Very good piece of software, it's a shame the trial version is a bit buggy as this could put potential buyers off as they are led to believe the software does not work so well on DAB. UPDATE : latest update as of May2015 allows recording ability (in aac format). brilliant idea.
Only tunes FM broadcast radio freqs
I use it on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and on my double din, dual core 1,6 GHz Android 4.4.4 and it presents the same problem: when loosing focus it becomes unstable and begins to creak like crazy.. Going back to Home screen it begins to produce that annoying DAB noise, like when is bad reception even if I have full DAB signal. On the car android radio I have to kill all the apps to be able to listen to it. No other apps can run in the background, like Gps navigation or a dash-cam recorder app. Would be nice to be able to make a favorite station list or to be able to delete the stations that I never listen to. I give it a 4 star, because I like the idea and the creativity behind the project

On nexus 7 keeps crashing at around 94mhz when scanning. As some others have reported keep getting a "chirping" sound on DAB. Not seen much development recently so seems very over priced, would be happier if was more activity.

Using WaveSink with a stock (but rooted) ROM on Note 3, functions far better than trial version (which has buggy IO code resulting in lots of audio skipping). Let down by high price though, if it was half the price (£4.00 / €5.00) then it would be perfect. Loses one star for this. If it did DVB (video) I'd happily pay the current price or perhaps more :)
Doesn't work for me at all, too much noise all the time. Same setup works fine with original drivers on PC. Waste of money for me
What does it mean by No! Hit the back button? So far no luck with this and not sure it was ready for prime time to be pushed out at a price.
I get good clear reception but it behaves erratically if you power off when it is running. Alternate screen is great but you need a more obvious link to it from the initial screen. Can be easily made to be the best out there.
I hope development will go on (htc one + terratec noxon stick)

Works on my Nexus 7 (Timur's USB ROM) with a Digital Now 'Dabby' tuner. It's great that I'll be able to listen to digital radio in my car tablet install, although the interface is not ideal for that. In fairness, I don't think it's necessarily designed for that use, so that is not a criticism. Looking forward to seeing how this app progresses. I'd give it 5 stars with a cleaner interface, and ability to store favorites etc, but the DAB+ functionality is great!
