Thomas-Morus-Bildungswerk

Das Thomas-Morus-Bildungswerk ist eine Einrichtung der katholischen Erwachsenenbildung in Mecklenburg. Es hat seinen Sitz in Schwerin und unterhält je eine Geschäftsstelle in Parchim und Salem. Seit 1998 ist das TMB staatlich anerkannt als Einrichtung der allgemeinen und politischen Weiterbildung.

Zu den Aufgaben des Bildungswerkes zählt die Organisation und Durchführung von Bildungsveranstaltungen in Mecklenburg.

Dazu gehören die Anleitung und Koordination der Bildungstätigkeit in Kirchengemeinden, kirchlichen Verbänden und Einrichtungen wie auch berufsbegleitende Angebote für unterschiedliche Zielgruppen.

Die Angebote zu gesellschaftspolitischen kulturellen und religiösen Themen sollen bilden und befähigen, um Gesellschaft und Kirche mitzugestalten. Die Auswahl gestaltet sich durch aktuelle Anlässe, Gedenktage und Wünsche der Bildungskreise vor Ort. The Thomas More Educational Institute is an institution of the Catholic Adult Education in Mecklenburg. It has its headquarters in Schwerin and maintains an office in each Parchim and Salem.
