Die Eiszeit-App erweckt Menschen und Tiere der letzten Eiszeit zum Leben. Mit Filmen und bebilderten Audiosequenzen tauchen Sie in eine fremde Welt ein. Lassen Sie sich von den Scouts Urs und Lena auf eine ganz besondere Safari mitnehmen. Wagen Sie einen Blick in Ihr „Eiszeithotel“, schauen Sie den Menschen beim Jagen, Feuermachen, Kochen oder Feiern über die Schulter, und erfahren Sie mehr über die besonderen Lebensweisen von Mammut, Wollhaarnashorn und anderen Eizeitriesen.
Mit anregenden, spannenden und spaßigen Spielen sowie einem Wissensquiz können Sie auf vielfältige Weise das Leben in der Eiszeit erkunden und testen, ob Sie für eine Zeitreise gut vorbereitet sind. Selbstverständlich kommen auch die kulinarischen Aspekte dabei nicht zu kurz. Über ein besonderes Menüspiel erhalten Sie Einblicke in die eiszeitliche Paläo-Diät und erfahren so z.B., ob und wann eine Eiszeitreise für Vegetarier ratsam wäre.
Die App mit allen Funktionen kann in der Ausstellung und in Verbindung mit diesem Reisebegleiter benutzt werden. Sämtliche hierfür erforderliche Icons finden Sie im Buch mit einem Hinweis abgedruckt. Die Spiele können jederzeit verwendet werden.
Die App ist deutschsprachig und hat jeweils eine spezielle Informationsebene für Erwachsene und Kinder. Der englischsprachige Ausstellungsbesucher hat die Möglichkeit, über die App die Ausstellungstexte und die Filme auf Englisch abzurufen.
Die App ist für iOS und Android optimiert und kann kostenlos in den einschlägigen App-Stores heruntergeladen werden. Die Funktionsweise wird mit dem erstmaligen Aufrufen und Öffnen der App erklärt. Nach der Spracheinstellungsabfrage erscheinen die Nutzungshinweise. Durch Drücken des OK-Buttons gelangt man zum Startbildschirm - von hier aus geht die “Reise“ los, wahlweise mit den Buttons “Spiele” oder “Scanner”. The app is German and has each a specific level of information for adults and children. The English-language exhibition visitor has the opportunity to share the exhibition texts and films in English via the app.
