Application don't found since 3 or 4 months. Macronos staff don't solve it. Wasted money. Obviously if previous version solves the problem. This negative comment had been removed UPDATE 15 jun 16: Problems solved since last Sonos Player Update UPDATE 29 sept 16: App crashes since last Macronos Update

When it works it's nice... But it currently does not work through tasker which is upsetting

R70%

Great app. One touch short cuts to start a play list in a room are very neat, as is having an icon to group all rooms. What would really take this app to another level though would be IFTTT (If This Then That) integration, through which Sonos could then be controlled by Google Home or any one of many other devices. Hopefully this will come soon...

Android audio to Sonos does nothing after granting root. A shame, since that was my reason for buying. Would have refunded, but that extra wait timer on this function made sure the refund window was closed. Also, using Tasker to play an url makes the soundfile repeat endlessly, making it difficult to use as an announcer.

X70%
by X####:

Does not mute or fade music when calls come in or go out. That's why I bought the app.

Generally a great app, for making a Sonos more usable! Love having one-click shortcuts to specific podcasts, albums, radio stations etc on my home screen. HOWEVER, a couple of annoyances have sprung up: Firstly, after a phone reboot all my shortcuts revert to being called 'Macronos'... they still work though, but are pretty useless unless you memorise the position of each! Within the Macronos app the macros are still labelled correctly, but the home screen shortcuts aren't. Secondly, how can I reliably add the podcast RSS/XML for NPR podcasts? Things like Ted Radio Hour - though I can work out the url for most podcasts, I can't fathom how to add NPR ones properly. I'm running a OnePlus 2 with OxygenOS.

Hi, the app looks simple and clean. Unfortunately, it doesn't work the way I expected (audio from phone and Sonos are out at the same time.) Kindly refund. Thank you.

Excellent app for my Sonos, playing my favourite become much more convenient, even better with my NFC tag and Nova launcher gesture could you add "play next" function as well ? thanks

So i bought this to play youtube through sonos, can someone help me? I dont know how to do it

I don't normally take the time to write reviews but this app is exactly what I have been looking for so I felt the need. I have 6 sonos zones in my home. Having the ability to set shortcut buttons to play my desired Sirius station or playlist on the designated zones, at the designated volume is a huge time saver. I've only had the app for 15 minutes but I can already tell this will come in very handy. Thanks to the developer! Feature request: It would be great if we could customize the icon for each shortcut. Even if the logo was just different colors. This would allow quicker visual recognition when there are multiple in a group.

Seems to be working now and have changed my rating and comment to this; however, cannot activate cloud sync. Can you help?

This is good, it plugs some holes in the sonos ecosystem, allows me to wake up to my news podcast.

Is there no way to use my Spotify playlists?

Y70%
by Y####:

So the only thing I had missing from my Sonos setup was a way to create One Button Scenes. After a while of poking around in the Sonos forum, someone mentionned Macronos and now all is good again. FYI i had problems with cloud sync at first but only before I created a "scene" after enabling cloud sync. So enable CloudSync and THEN create your scenes. Works properly now. Thank you.

Nice app.. works well. But would suggest a couple of mods for next release. As I mainly got it for the PA function 'macrophonos' It would be good if you could add an option to store settings at the start of the macro and revert to previous settings at the end (Through an 'end macro' option in app). Also the UI is a little clunky with chunky icons and the macro widgets on the home page are all called 'macronos' so difficult to identify which you want if you have several - might be I haven't set it right.

X70%
by X####:

This is a fantastic app. The controller is simplicity itself and the macro functionality brilliant. Features like muting when use phone rings.....so simple but awesome. Those of you who do not like it, can't work it, maybe just stick with Sonos app, but trust me, it is so worth understanding and learning this app, it's a 1,000 times better than the Sonos app

I don't get it. I was expecting to be able to play youtube through the sonos system from my Galaxy phone. Can anyone help? Or have I just wasted my money ?

Can I listen to YouTube on Sonos without having to root? Don't want to root if unsafe and voids warranty? I have galaxy s6 android 5.1.1

All based on macros. No way to add music to the macros. Cant find any of the thousands of songs on my device. Does the author know that sonos is to play music?

Q70%
by Q####:

Functionality is great, no doubt. But I do flash my system everyday to keep it updated and every time I have to wait two hours to get Android audio to Sonos functionality back, which is very annoying when you paid for an app. Also design (drawn icons for every audio source) could be improved.

C70%
by C####:

Should have options like setting the sound options: enable/disable SUB, balance, equaliser. It also takes quite a few seconds for macronos to find/communicate with the Sonos environment.

Q70%
by Q####:

What do games have to do with Sonos? Who knows. But even after installing games I'm unable to get my settings back which were quite time consuming to set up in the first place. It used to just work without games, now it doesn't work with the addition of another app. Games does not work for saving settings. No longer an option to stream android audio on Nexus 6p. Worthless

my only issue is that android audio stutters a lot more on the s6 then my old HTC m7 assume this is down to lack of audio encoding? /edit works fine now since I connected to 5ghz Wi-Fi instead of 2.4

I recently moved to iPhone and this is the only Android app i'm missing. If you have a Sonos system with more than one zone, just buy it.

U70%

Allows for quick one button control of all sonos components. Direct access to 'music' in macronos control by tapping the now playing item would earn another star

A70%
by A####:

A quality app that has enabled me to automatically wake to my favourite podcast each morning without the need to root my device. The addition of RSS support is a great touch and something that Sonos really should have included in their own software. I haven't yet gone in-depth with the various complex macros but the online user guides are clear and concise and the one-touch home screen shortcuts are great. I also like the Macronos controller but holding 1 star in reserve as the layout is functional but could be slicker and easier on the eye (something the official Sonos controller is also guilty of) and would like a controller widget for the home screen.

Still works awesome! Totally worth to buy. Could you add beacon-support for macros? (AltBeacon Lib is easy to implement and supports iBeacons and Eddystone, too)
