Christianity in Indonesia is the second largest religion. Many Indonesians all over the country read the Christian Bible, especially in Papua, west Papua, East Nusa Tenggara and North Sulawesi, the provinces with a majority of Christian population (Catholic or Protestant)
Catholicism in Indonesia began with the arrival of Portuguese in the 16Th century. East Nusa Tenggara is the province where Roman Catholicism is the majority, with 55 % of population.
