I used BirdLog for years and this direct eBird app seems very good so far. Those reviewers disappointed it doesn't show previous lists seems unfair to me, BirdLog never did either. You always had to log into the actual website to have that kind of control. What I miss is the "trip summary" feature that BirdLog did have for Apple versions of their app. That would be VERY useful here and certainly helps in big days. Great job on this app, it seems very stable so far.
Long time BirdLog NA user. This is looking good! I like the improvements. Note re:clunkiness from other reviews- it does take getting used to, and doesn't tie well with existing account data. But, it works, be patient.
Very good. This app fixes some longstanding problems that BirdLog has. Data entry is quick. I can enter zero for a species. Map screen loads quickly. Help & FAQs provides helpful (imagine that) answers and guidance,... Thank you eBird for a big step forward in mobile checklist keeping.
Logged into the same account as I am on the web browser. Does not show any of my lists, locations or any other of the My eBird information. Duration input clunky. Have to login with browser to view or edit. Have to login into browser to explore data
Can't see any of my checklists. Besides, the app itself needs some imporvements. Hopefully all will come with time.
I just downloaded on my android device. Singed in but does not show my previous records when I select My Checklists, instead asks me to start a new list.
Installed last night & have submitted 2 checklists till now. Slightly complicated but then it maybe because I am used to bird log Asia. Otherwise wonderful app.
Great start. Hoping location-finding will be smoothed out and previous lists will be viewable soon.
Very smooth. Will need more features eventually but a good start.
It works well and responds much quicker than the previous incarnation.
Ebirds app or birdlog...
Very nice. It appears to be ideal for what it was designed for; namely, entering lists.
A real disappointment after the long wait. It doesn't offer anything that BirdLog doesn't have, and in a couple of ways isn't even as good as BirdLog.
The basic functionality is fine, but I do miss being able to add a GPS location for an individual species with the touch of a button. It does seem a bit quicker than BirdLog.
Good colour images very helpful.
Wouldn't accept any user name I put in.
lovely UI.. good design.. needed for long time..
