How does it work: start Soundmate and you get a partner from anywhere in the world. Both of you will hear the same song. Some questions related to the song will appear. Now, your goal is to answer each question as good and as fast as you can. If you and your partner choose the SAME answer you score points, otherwise you lose some.

We collect all your answers and categorize them. Doing so we get tags about genre, instruments, mood etc for every played song in the app. The best thing about that: all collected tags are freely available on our website (www.soundmate.ch)! You can use the search function on the website to find similar songs or download directly all tags. There is also a counter showing how many tags we've already collected.
Notice that Soundmate needs some amount of internet traffic, therefore we recommend playing Soundmate using WLAN.

The avatars need to be a bit more diverse. Im guessing the two darkest ones with the biggest lips represents the other races lol- one looks more like a drag than a female. This app also takes a while to load.

I downloaded this yesterday. Tried to use it today and I can't play the game... just tells me there is an error. Then I discovered it's not in the market today?

I spent a long time waiting for the app to find me a player, but it's like no one use the app. I'm gonna delete it I guess. It is an interesting idea though. Pity it doesn't work!

I really like the game and in particular the public domain orientation. It makes much more fun to play the game if you know that you are contribution for the greater good i.e. high quality music tags for every one.

The game and the concept is awesom but people don't know music geners. You must make some sort of filter for that. When I se that somebody put white snakes on folk gener, thaz is the moment when I stop playing and delete app. Best luck

This app has a good concept, but I don't think it will be all that useful. I'm a musician, so I don't think its too much of a stretch to say that I know my music genres. Every single person I was paired with had woeful misunderstandings of genre. You could greatly improve the apps data by using some sort of screening procedure.

It's an interesting app but it has some issues. If you're going to ask questions about album artwork, the picture should be displayed. It's also frustrating when the person you are playing with doesn't understand how the game works.
