Last.fm

On my Moto Z Play, it will no longer open the app, even after uninstalling and reinstalling. Simply will not open, and it crashes immediately. However, the app worked perfectly until just this past week or so. Been a Last.fm user for awhile, and really enjoy it. Wish my app would work and would appreciate some updates/support. Seems to crash whenever it tries to pull up my all my account info

Yes, the app scrobbles a few selected apps like Spotify, but most of those already have a system of their own. There are no song recommendations like on the website - and speaking of website: if you tap on a song you scrobbled, it simply links you to your web browser and last.fm Marvellous web-app with the best functions I have ever seen. All in all, it's bad. It does it's job - scrobbling to the website Last.FM, and that's it.

Use the app to scrobble from Google Play Music. It is inconsistent and can miss tracks. Annoying. You should expect the official app to work perfectly with the native player. Also, the notifications never disappear when I play from Podcast Addict. It never scrobbles my podcasts, just notifies me that it is and never disappears until I restart the phone! Much work required.

seriously last.fm?? you're a well known company but you can't EVEN manage to release a decent version of the scrobbler!! it doesn't scrobble all the songs i listen to, it doesn't scrobble any song at ALL when i keep repeating it! and of all of this it crashes so many times! shame on you because i do love the scrobbler! (ps. i'm using google play music)

I like this app very much. The UI is easy to use. It is very on point with tracking my songs. Although there is one annoying thing that keeps happening on my Moto G4 Play. After I shutdown a music player, usually Spotify, the notification of what I was listening to at that time still stays in the notification bar making me think I got notifications all the time. I would really like to get help or see this solved.

The persistent notification can be a bit irritating with disabling all notifications being the only way. Would love to be able to scrobble via the YouTube music app as well as an update to work with Google Play music as it can often miss tracks altogether.

App worked pretty well before (except for missing some scrobbles now and then), but now it won't even open and just crashes immediately upon opening the app. Rebooting and reinstalling did nothing!

This integrates well with Spotify and Play Music until you try and use an EQ app. Whenever I use 'Headphones Equilizer,' the scrobbler struggles to read the track and causes havoc in the app drawer.

UPDATED: Ok, the problem appears fixed after uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I just wish I knew about it sooner! Just noticed it stopped scrobbling after August 22, 2017. Was working perfect for me for the past several years until this. Please fix!

Does an excellent job at what it is meant to do, scrobble music with what seems to be little to no impact on battery or performance. I also like that it doesn't try to be more than it should be, the website is great on mobile so I wouldn't want it on an app. The reason I'm giving this 4 stars is the persistent notification on 8.0 Oreo. Please update the notification to use the new lower priority (and much smaller) notification to not crowd the drawer while still allowing you to maintain functionality.

For years I've been waiting for this app to show lyrics for recognized tracks. It's a pitty I still need to use the painfully invasive Musixmatch.

Scrobbling is THE WORST. Please update or at least respond to your users' reviews. Buggiest app I have seen in a while! It's POO.

Two starts for two reasons. First, it doesn't recognize my phone's music player so I have to use Google's, which I don't like that much. And second, the app works for scrobbling from other music apps just fine but it's been MONTHS since I could last open it, it is impossible to check it cause it'll say 'unfortunately last.fm has stopped', and I repeat, it's been MONTHS since I could last open it.

Love the site but I think this app would be better if it didn't just randomly not scrobble songs. Like every second song just doesn't get recorded for whatever reason. Annoying.

Too many issues with the scrobbler. Will work for a few songs and than skips 10-20 minutes of music to start working again.

It's FULL of bugs. Missing tracks. So annoying. I never had any problems with this app until now. Please fix it.

Refuses to open and won't scrolled Google music. It's not a new issue but lastfm don't do anything to fix it. Really poor.

It just won't scrobble with any consistency at all. It's done so a couple of times, so the capability is there, but it'll be 2 songs out of 300. I don't get it.

Still does not scrobble from podcast addict. It says it is scrobbling, it shows the artist and album, but still fails to scrobble to my list. competitor scrobble apps work just fine.

Seems to work pretty okay, but ai have one major gripe: i have spotify on my phone and my home computer (those sync and i can switch device I'm listening to, aye?) The scrobbler then shows me a notification, on my phone, for what I'm listening to on my computer. And even after I turn off the computer, that notification sticks and ai can't delete it. I have to play something on the phone and stop it to get rid of it... Is there a way to turn off the notifications entirely? Scrobble away, I don't need to see it, I know what I'm listening to!

The idea for the app is great - precisely what I wanted, in fact -, the problem is the execution. Firstly, it only has a very limited number of features if compared to the website. Secondly, bugs, bugs everywhere. In 15 minutes of usage, I've had the app not scrobble my songs on multiple occasions and even wrongly scrobble a song as another one (and then, when I tried replaying the song, it scrobbled right). This is such a great application and, seeing as last.fm is one of my most accessed websites, I really hope the developers can correct these issues so we users can get the best experience out of it.

It doesn't scrobble from Xperia Z5's Walkman player. It has been an issue since early Xperia smartphones and still no support for them. Please, fix it.

Use to completely work with no real issues until just yesterday it decided not to. It did a crash I never seen it do before, just closes on it's own. Then when you try to reopen the app the last.fm red screen shows up but closes again for it to tell you "App failed to open, try again" It is a conundrum. I know some legit music sites already sync to last.fm on their own but for others, that's the point of the app. I hope this isn't a pattern. I have a scrobbler for Chrome, Firefox and Windows and so far those still work, are quite useful and would hate to see those go as well.

Not bad, but it would be great if I could access more profile info. Also, please add a setting to turn the persistant notification off.

No longer works with Google play music EDIT: It seems to be working with Google Play Music now. Not sure what was going on but I've been running it for a few hours now and it seems to be running fine. I updated my review of it once it started working again.

Unreliable. App often just leaves out songs. Instead, I use WAIL for now, even if it's deprecated and unmaintained...

Loses tracks often and not always the same. Seems to have poor performance whenever connection to a network is lost.

Looks like Last.fm truly is dead. What's the point of a scrobbler that doesn't even manage that? I've lost months of data because this app simply doesn't function.

I subscribed to last.fm just to have a peek through what my friends listening to. I want to see the scrobble list of people I follow. I want their scribble list in app itself. I know you made app only in thought of making scrobbling super easy. But, it is wiser to add more features. When People download an app, they feel whole website can be accessed inside app, but you have nothing inside app.

I have update my pasword 2 times,stil you say i is wrong. I am tired so i am going to leave.

Few more tweaks will make this app perfect. Crashes randomly but not as often as previous builds.

Scrobble notification can get stuck forever after the music is paused and player is closed (mainly with Spotify).

Last.fm keeps force closing after I log in to my account. Tried reinstalling but no succes. Please help.

I lost all my scrobbles for a week when I moved house and used my phone for music... This app didn't post a single scrobble from my supported media player (MediaMonkey). I hope this isn't a sign of the direction of the service itself.

Giving 2 stars just for the website. Now the app will just crash instantly when opened, personally, there are better unofficial scrobblers, this does not even scrobble every song/short songs

This app doesn't submit any song ever! Oh wait it did, twice. The same song. And the second scrobble is not even real. I wasn't listening to to that song. I wasn't listening to music at all. This app is, at least, useless.

Very buggy. It seems to have stop running in the background and hasn't opened for me for over a week. Didn't realize until today.
