ACERCA DEL ORITENTE:

El Club Deportivo Oriente Petrolero es un club de fútbol boliviano de la ciudad de Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Fue fundado el 5 de noviembre de 1955 por un grupo de trabajadores de Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) con Elmer Saucedo como su primer presidente. Actualmente disputa la Primera División de Bolivia, organizada por la Liga del Fútbol Profesional Boliviano.

Al 2017, cuenta con 5 títulos de Primera División de Bolivia y ha participado ininterrumpidamente en los torneos de la máxima categoría desde 1975. Es uno de los únicos clubes, junto a Club The Strongest, que no ha descendido a una categoría inferior, tanto en su asociación departamental como en la Liga. Fue el primer club cruceño en lograr un título nacional, en 1971,8 y el primero en conseguirlo en Liga, en 1979. Ha participado en veinte ocasiones en la Copa Libertadores, siendo su debut en la competición en la edición de 1972. Además, cuenta con cinco participaciones en la Sudamericana, 2 en la Copa Conmebol y una en la Copa Merconorte.
