What are users saying about Puget Sound Trip Planner

N70%
by N####:

Works well when I have wifi access. But as soon as I am on cell, no matter how good my connection, it often won't load. Given that this is when I'm at the bus stop wondering if I'll make my connection that's a bit important. When it does work (or on internet) it gives good up to date info as it can, has route maps and bus stop lists. Handy... Just unable to access it at times

Y70%
by Y####:

Lacks most basic, necessary feature: reverse start and end to map trip back home! Apparently all the smarts are on a server somewhere, which locks up constantly at rush hour. Use it the night before to plan your trip and it works fine. Better yet, just use their website

R70%
by R####:

Horrible app. Almost entirely broken, buttons seem to glitch out all the time, pretty much useless. Best bet is to just use Google maps, or a better solution like OneBusAway.

R70%
by R####:

Horribly inaccurate for both estimated arrivals and trip planning. There is almost always a few route options that are better then it suggests.

C70%
by C####:

Very useful for using the bus to get places. I wish it had an option to save favorite locations, but it does remember the last five trips you took. This app has been invaluable to me for getting around in unfamiliar territory.

C70%
by C####:

App has definitely improved recently. It has some great features only it offers, like detailed fare info and alerts based on your itinerary, but also has fatal flaws like not including walking time in trip planning (it thinks a 1 mile walk is the quickest route since it's the shortest bus ride, and doesn't tell me how long the walk is in minutes or how much earlier I will need to leave).

R70%
by R####:

Something this bad must have been developed in-house by someone in Metro's maintenance or cleaning departments. This app is completely non-functional, hence the 2.6 overall rating.

R70%
by R####:

Clunky UI, bus schedules and arrivals are not accurate. Will say a bus is supposed to arrive at a certain time and then just drop off and no bus arrives.

E70%
by E####:

Worthless, what's the point of a trip finder if you can't put in your address.

R70%
by R####:

When you put in a local address it refer to an address outside of the city or says it doesn't recognize the address. Useless.

N70%
by N####:

There is an issue with it currently that doesn't allow you to actually plan a trip... I put in the in for and it doesn't even give the option to find route... Its not highlighted as selectable.

M70%
by M####:

What is the point? This is a terrible user interface. Paper is easier to use.

R70%
by R####:

So bad in so many ways. I have been unable to get nearby stops for several months. Worthless.

R70%
by R####:

Did not find there neither my bus 578, nor Auburn station. The worst interface ever.

R70%
by R####:

Not at all intuitive. Will stick to Google for travel info.

R70%
by R####:

How do you add favorites? This seems like a useful app, it presented the information I was curious about, but I don't know if it would be useful on a daily basis yet.

I70%
by I####:

This app was great, now it doesn't provide next bus information, making it worthless for daily use.

R70%
by R####:

This app is trash. Inaccurate, not user friendly, and utterly pointless

R70%
by R####:

Doesn't allow me to set favorites and doesn't seem to include Sounder train in trips.

R70%
by R####:

Decent app, just wish it was better maintained. Often on weekends it won't show some routes estimated time of arrival.

R70%
by R####:

It doesn't work anymore. Trash.

R70%
by R####:

Str8 don't work at all

F70%
by F####:

Great app. Extremely helpful for when you need to figure out a transfer from one bus to the other.

K70%
by K####:

Not working app.

R70%
by R####:

This app is great! I love how simple it is to use! Love it!

R70%

H70%
by H####:

Terrible

R70%
by R####:

App is practically not usable. I can't enter an address due to keyboard disappearing. It used to work well before.

O70%
by O####:

Crappy app. Google is even better. Download one bus away and forget this one

R70%
by R####:

The most annoying part of the app is when you're trip planning, typing in a stop, the app doesn't let you finish typing before it hides the keyboard. I'm bobbing the keyboard up and down because the app thinks I want to go to Index when I want to go to International Dist to transfer. Two very different places! Also, how do I add stops, trips, or routes to favorites? It's not intuitive.

L70%
by L####:

This app is awful. Just use Google maps instead. Times are off and the routes are totally inefficient. For example, I live in Ballard and commute to Capitol Hill every day. The app tells me to walk 3 blocks to a Rapid Ride stop instead of using the one right in front of my building, then tells me to get off downtown and walk a mile up Capitol Hill instead of transferring. You're better off using anything but this app.

S70%
by S####:

I cannot figure out how to take the Sounder from Tukwila to Lakewood. I certainly can't figure out what the 'Express' bus is for the same route... This needs to be looked at from a fresh perspective and worked inv so it makes sense and is ACTUALLY USABLE!

G70%
by G####:

I had been using this app with zero problems for a long time, & have loved all the features, esp trip planning. BUT since the latest schedule changes, most of my regular buses are MIA when I try to use trip planner. To date, the 27, 8, and C are not showing up for trips that I know they should. This now makes 'trip planner' part completely useless. ('next departures' works fine) Please fix!!

N70%
by N####:

On this version the keyboard disappears when a search result is found even if you have on typed 2 characters. Makes the app unusable.

N70%
by N####:

What the heck did you guys do to the app. The keyboard closes after every letter typed. Can't finish typing an address. Incredibly frustrating.

I70%
by I####:

Stop dropping they keyboard with every letter typed or work Swyped

N70%
by N####:

It's a good effort to try to bring together a lot of information from separate apps, but the issue where the keyboard disappears when new suggested searches come up makes the app nearly unusable.

N70%
by N####:

Puget Sound sounds like it can go to the Train station. Lol

Y70%
by Y####:

I commute daily all over Seattle, and this app rarely gives the most rapid paths with least travel time! I have actually had better luck using Google maps(yes they have bus/train/commute options), and Google gives better information and time tables. I get there faster with as few transfers as possible, but NOT with this app!
