GLOBE Observer invites you to take environmental observations that complement NASA satellite observations to help scientists studying Earth and the global environment. Version 1.0 includes GLOBE Clouds, which allows you to photograph clouds and record sky observations and compare them with NASA satellite images. Future versions of GLOBE Observer will add additional tools for you to use as a citizen environmental scientist.

Didn't work well on my S6. Now have an S7 and just as bad. I know both phones are calibrated as other apps give bearings spot on. The only direction this app seems to get correct in the picture mode is down. With phones pointing due east the display indicates around south West. So not even a case of 180 degrees out. As others have said the interface is a bit clunky and you can't back out using the back button. Shame as it's a good idea in principle.

Came here straight after seeing your promo video. Expected something a bit more polished. In addition to what others have mentioned, a report can be a single page, no need for multi-step navigation. Select a colour palette and stick to it. Date, time and location in drop down elements?. A way of setting custom notifications for satellite passes would be useful. Guides should be embedded in, pdf is not the way. Make it global and user-friendly to get more users. Get in touch for a UIX beta tester.

Like other users frustrated by difficulty in exiting the app. Back button does not respond from any screen. Also compass orientation is out by 180° (not corrected for Southern hemisphere? ).

No exit button and app will not close unless forced. PITA to use. Can't change password after signing up and assigned password could only be remembered by a robot. UNINSTALLED. I'll check back in 6 months and see if you have your act together and the app is more user friendly. Pnr star only because that's the least I can give, otherwise -5.

Not possoble to work with, sorry. Each time you come back..it starts from beginning: asks me about clouds so i need to look at the picture if it was yesterday. When i look the momery is not saved....and whats the difference between clear and cancel...no ok button??? Stupid

Few minor issues. For example, I get notifications saying "Aqua is overhead at an invalid date ..." The app occasionally seems to freeze up too.
