I can't rate this app any higher until this fundamental issue is addressed.

Blocking ui thread ? Why even bother to put this to Google play?

Excellent when it works, but black screen when trying to start up/restart in offline mode. Needs a reset to get it working again. HTC Desire Z.

Crashes every time I search an address.

Great detailed maps but it doesn't cover the Shetland Isles.

Location was shaky on Note 2 but doesn't work at all on Note 4. Pretty useless without as it's impossible to read any names on high res screen. Falls over if you try to do a search. I guess they've just stopped developing it.

This was the top GIS app 5 years ago on Android, but it has fallen into disrepair it seems.

Probably my most used osm mapping app. I was hoping to use multiple map layers at the same time; bing or google satellite plus osm vectors on top. That would have been awesome. The osm editor is the only way I can view this composite map.

Some maps work well; others result in checker-board. BUT.... Search fails to connect, falsely blaming Internet connection (other apps connect fine) . At least on 3g it says "Please wait"; don't get even that on WiFi before the error message. Seriously? A map app without search is inadequate (for me - YMMV). Uninstalling.

i'm using a note 2, it can find where i am and the maps are very nice, and you can download layers for offline. but if you do a search, no matter how you do that search, it crashes right out of the program. so as long as you don't want to look up where you are going it's fine. and if you want to know where you are right now, then that part works.

Pretty good although I wish it wouldn't auto-rotate even when I have it turned off on my phone.

Great to see the OS maps back so I'm a returning veteran user. Search not working for me at the moment on the Nexus 7 but what do you want for free? Nearly perfect for the price :)

I typed my own address in and nothing came up.

Drained 95% battery usage, even though never loaded since power phone on. App often restart when downloading tiles. Shame nice app otherwise.[Desire]

Occasional force closes on xoom. No layers available.

Gives somekind of license BS and cant edit layer properties. Uninstall.

Nice idea but keeps saying I don't have a network connection when I definitely have, so can't search or download anything. Bit of a flaw. Uninstalled (sgs2 on 2.3)

Just closes whenever I open it and do a search.

Been using various other apps to navigate with, but this is by far the best.

It always in hang-mode. Sometime it's impossible to use phone because this app hangs.

This was a great app - though the map layer system was complicated to understand. Now it just doesn't work. Online mode, offline mode, all I seem to get is a blank (checkerboard) display. Can't bring up the "About" or "Licence" info. I don't even know which version I'm running as it's not displayed on the splash screen now. The support link on the website is "not found". I hope the EU is not still funding this!

The mapping itself is good, however the search functionality was rubbish. It wouldn't even find results for street names that were on the map I was looking at.

Garbage, just crashed my phone as soon as the app opened

As it says in the title. This app in no way should be on Google Play. It is not compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Note GTN 7000 despite it saying it is. It will freeze and then lock the phone. The only way to reset is to remove the battery.

I cant turn off the gvSIG by clicking the back button, so i clicked home button and close it with task management. however, everytime i did that, it shows black screen when i open the application again. I have tto restart my phone to use it again. please fix this ASAP。 thanks.

Its good but Google maps satellite on it is out of date compared to the main Google map app.

This app was last updated March 2011. Says it all. I don't know if this app ever worked, but it sure doesn't seem to now. Smart phones have moved on a bit in 2 yrs, maybe it's time this was updated? All it does is hang. This could be a brilliant tool to allow access to OS maps in all their fabulous detail. Currently it's unusable. Given the number of similar complaints I am saddened nothing appears to have been done. Has it been entirely forgotten?

Ok to find out where you are if you're lost but that's about it. Don't try to search an address as it just crashes

Tells me it can't connect to server and asks me to check my settings but I am connected to wifi. Really great idea and access to UK OS is great but buggy (crashes a lot) and badly executed - I'm going to uninstall.

Doesn't work very well on my HTC One X. If I leave the app then return to it the screen is often black and I have to restart the app to view the maps agian. Not good if I'm just checking it on and off along my route. Would also do well if it could use the other Ordnance Survey layers (the one with the footpaths, not sure what it's called). Doesn't seem to have been updated for a long time so is this it for the app? Will have to remove it if my first point will never be fixed, which is a shame.
