I really like this app. Very easy to use- just find your food, tap, and it brings you to the breakdown screen. The only problem is that you must use grams , and some things are better measured in tsp or tbs, which means you have to do some conversion...which,for me, means I have to go to my conversion cooking calculator to find how many grams to enter in this app to find my GL. Still, this is one of the easier apps I've come across and none of the apps has an exhaustive food list.

The basic data is good, and uncluttered by commercial versions of foods, unlike many similar apps. The UI definitely needs work though. As an example, if you search for food and then look at the detail of one resulting item there is no way to return to the search list, you have to search all over again! I would pay for the pro version if the UI was improved.

Beer should not be on this list. The low carbohydrate content of alcoholic drinks makes it impossible to test an alcoholic drinks glycemic index as testing the glycemic index involves giving subjects food items with 25g or 50g of carbohydrate. Many alcoholic drinks have virtually no carbohydrate value and to achieve the 25 g for testing, large volumes would need to be consumed making glycemic index measurement impractical

I looked for something as simple as squash, summer squash acorn squash nothing. I think it would be great but there just isn't enough on the list

One of the simpler apps. Easy to read and use. Hope that you can add more in the future.
