About Kharcha - Expense Tracker
Kharcha is a simple expense tracker for daily expenses. I created it after I used quite a few expense trackers & found them to be overly complex.
I wanted a no frills expense tracker -- something which is plain & simple. No complex goal settings, money sources etc. Just plain simple add expense, date, expense done on what & paid through. No complex charts/graphs or reporting. Just simple expense reports that you can use [ You can swipe left-right to go to different reports, apart from choosing the desired report from drop down].
Few of the expense trackers I tried wanted too many permissions on phone. I don't understand why an expense tracker should have access to my contact list, dial numbers, read SMS, or ask me to register with email etc.
Keeping that in mind, Kharcha requires ONLY ONE permission on your phone: Write to your SD card/Storage. This is needed to export your expenses as a .csv file.
Apart from above, NO other permissions are needed permissions on your phone because Kharcha does not send any data to any place or has access to any information on your phone.
Kharcha expense tracker will be very good for people who prefer simplicity over complex features. Especially markets like India where for example say housewives & people from tier-II/III cities are starting to use smartphones & mobile apps
Usage -- as easy as saying 1 - 2:

Step #1: Setup your own categories for expense types. (For example: Utilities & Bills, Monthly Provisions, Shopping & Eating Out...)
Step #2: Start adding expenses. That's it.
TIPS:

#1 : In case you need to delete an expense, you can do so from the Summary Report view by long pressing expense details
#2: You can edit/delete expense categories. Long press a category name and the option to delete will appear. (Category will get deleted if there are no expenses associated with it.)
You can use the various easy to use simple reports to see your expense history & at any time add more categories.
You can export your expense data as a .csv file anytime you wish. It will be stored as "MyKharcha.csv" in your phone storage.

I added several expenses on the same day - more than a 100 items. I dont know whether it was the number of items or the length of description on some of the items was too long ... but when I tried to open the category wise report the app simply crashed! Great app! Keep it up. I have uninstalled it ... moving on to more conventional app.

Kharcha should have catagory wise expense which is not available now. Please add that features to show the. Catagory wise expense

It needs the field for amount of money deposit for expense from which expenses are detacted so one see how amount money is left in my purse

It is a very nice and an uncomplicated app. I am using it. I have one problem with it. When I am trying to export the csv file, it is showing " export failed", and am not able to export it. Please inform how can it be done ??

Add income option b,coz income is also imporatnt facter to do expanses u upgrade ur app like wallet day today income and expanses and end of the day balance of our wallet and change its theme b,coz in this theme words not look sharp and overall ur app is owsome is user frindly and so simple to use every one plz kindly notice on my points and uodate as soon as thank u

The expense once added cannot be edited. The date or the amount cannot be changed. Please add this feature and also the ability to export as excel. If you can also add the feature of creating different folders like home expenses and office expenses, then it will be really versatile.

Thanks Boss!! But I found it tedious to input data again and again for various heads...I would love to have all things at one sheet just like balance sheet with details...I mean it should be an excel sheet where I can input and glance my all data with edit options.

Good app as wanted but don't have the editing option for categories and listing expenses too. We have to delete the expenses if want to change anything and no option to even delete any category once entered. Just reinstall app freshly Thanks for ur reply. I understand u want to keep app simple which is excellent & I love it. However my concern is that, sometimes we tend to add a category and then realize want to edit so all can be categorized under one category. ex Petrol want to edit as Petroleum/LPG/GAS
