Campus News

Campus News is an independent student newspaper that is published in two ways, hitting two different audiences:

•Community College Campus News is primarily a print-edition student newspaper hitting about three dozen community college campuses in downstate New York, Southern New England and New Jersey. The paper has a tremendous reach and pickup rate.
•Campus News Online‘s intended audience is all American college students.

The paper was founded by Darren Johnson, a former New York Press Association “Writer of the Year” and longtime college writing and journalism instructor and administrator for various colleges.

The writers are primarily student journalists, many of whom work with Johnson on honing their craft. Some professors also submit work. The paper is professionally distributed, and very carefully and strategically placed on each college campus to ensure acceptance and pickup. It is the only paper of its kind in the world, and now it comes in app form!
