What does it do ?
You enjoy watching TV shows but you tired of losing time downloading subtitles ? MightySubs is for you.
Downloading subtitles has never been so easy. Quickly configure the application and then browse your shows, click and download subtitles in a few seconds !
Whether on your tablet or on your NAS, do not waste your time anymore. Sit back, relax and good subtitles downloading !
Featuring :
- 2 languages available : English and yours according to your device, if available (23 languages in the premium version)
- Multi-languages support : you can enable more than one language at once
- 7 subtitles fetchers : OpenSubtitles, Addic7ed, BetaSeries, Sous-titres.eu, Subscene.com, Podnapisi.net and Subswiki. Select and sort the ones you want to use (more to come). Tusubtitulo.com support has been removed due to a request from its administrator.
- 10 daily downloads (unlimited in the premium version)
- Directory profile management, with local and remote directory (Samba/Windows or FTP) support to browse your files (more protocol to come)
Movies are also supported, through OpenSubtitles and Subscene fetchers only.
To handle movies, TV shows, on different locations, it's easy ! Just create the right profile.
A profile consists of :
- A name
- A media type (TV show or Movie)
- A root directory type (local, samba or FTP)
- A path
- And for remote profiles, an ip/host and optional credentials
You can create 3 profiles with the free version, as many as you want with the premium one !
The premium version allows you to schedule automatically any profile, one time a day. It will download any missing subtitles.
Download is fully automatic ! If a subtitle doesn't match with a given fetcher (with your preconfigured fetchers selection), delete it and try to select manually a fetcher through a long press on the file. If a match is still not found but you're sure the subtitle exists, email me the case, I'll work on it to improve Mightysubs' AI.
This is the free limited version.

The language cannot be changed if your device is set to english. Native language(dutch) can't be selected if android is set to english.

This app has taken away all the pain associated with searching and downloading the right subtitles. Wonder how it searches the right subs, renames the file to match the file name of movie... All in few seconds.. Wonderful... Plus some nifty features as ability to directly link to my shared drive on Lan...

Lil bit problem with app in recognizing 480p/720p video so sometimes doesn't go well but better than other apps in market.

In order to be perfect all it would need is the option of keeping the filename of the subtitle, rather than the filename of the video file.

As far as I can tell there is no search functionality. Maybe someday someone will figure out that there is more than one use case for a subtitle downloader, namely for videos that aren't on the local device - like when they are on a media server.

Please add the feature to open the video files directly from the app.now I download the subs then close and move to another file explorer to open it in the player. With the above feature it would be a real 5star app.

Hard to use, but you can find many subtitles even if the name changed a bit, support multi languages only on premium edition.

I do not know what the profiles are and how to get this app to work. Does it listen and transcribe the tv shows or work like viggle and identify them and send the text? Or do I have to look them up somewhere and them search?

If there's a subtitle out there mighty subs finds it. I love that I don't have to check all the sites looking for subtitles anymore. I'm glad appgratis featured this.

Neat UI, great functions. User has to have solid knowledge of his environment to configure it.

For FTP servers doesn't run for a batch of movies. Ok, on a second I give 4 stars for the effort and vision to include network protocols besides Samba/Cifs.
