Basically this application allows you to configure the interval of GCM heartbeat, keeping the connection alive, and improving the reception of notifications.
Will this application consume too much power?
According to my test, the battery should not be much impacted over a day.

bad to say but this application didnt work on my 1 gb ram phone. i tried this to my whatsapp but still not getting any notifications, i already set this up to 3 minutes but still not work. i didnt force close my whatsapp but because it's only 1 gb ram so the ram management auto close whatsapp, so this method didnt work on me

After upgrading to Marshmallow, I stopped getting Hangouts notifications unless I opened the Hangouts app. I tried all sorts of things, even a factory reset, but after reading all about potential causes of missed notifications, I decided to try this. Just used the default settings and it's been working great for at least a month now!

I had high hopes for this app. It worked as long as my phone wasn't in sleep mode for more than 15 or 20 minutes but I let it sleep for about 40 minutes or so then sent a test email from my computer and after 16 minutes (set it for 3 minutes) it still hadn't notified me. When I woke up the phone, then then the notification came. That was what my phone was doing without the app. My phone is an LG g6.
