My boyfriend told me he had ordered a falling star for me on Feb 14th, and to my astonishment, there it was, right where he pointed to, and right on time. Awesome!

The stupid notifications that can't be disabled forced me to uninstall.

Can't turn off notifications to set location even though location set

Uninstall. Incredibly annoying repeated unnecessary and unwelcome notifications to set location. What a PITA.

Uninstalled, as it doesn't work following the recent update. (with ads)

P70%
by P####:

It can be a great ap. But it lack refresh after change settings. Also after the new update you MUST set the timezones, or else it will not work.

O70%
by O####:

Recent update made brightness too dim.

K70%
by K####:

Excellent front end for the data at the Heavens Above website! Always good for big "Oooo"with friends.

H70%
by H####:

The biggest issue(s) on my D1: 1) keeps telling me that it can't load track info with error popups that keep popping up even if I dismiss the app! 2) WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT USE THE GPS location!!!! It never gets a good position (only uses network) unless wifi is being used... always resorts to network location even when GPS is turned on!!! If this worked BETTER it'd be about as perfect as you could imagine.

N70%
by N####:

Very goooooood!!!!

E70%
by E####:

Never got past downloading flare information...tried uninstalling and reinstalling - still sticks trying to download, so it's useless.

C70%
by C####:

It's working again on my phone, but constantly asks to set location (even after it is set).

F70%
by F####:

Throws error every time. Was great when it was working.

Y70%
by Y####:

Keeps reminding me the scan location isn't set, but it is. Annoying reminders of this all day long, even after I've killed the app. Had to uninstall.

J70%
by J####:

Used to be great but it can no longer connect to it's data source

R70%
by R####:

used to work well now stopped. Constant download errors. The last time it worked it reported no flares for the next 7 days Went to the website which showed lots of flares. Just as well I didnt pay

A70%
by A####:

Always has an error downloading flares hasn't worked properly for month now.

Z70%
by Z####:

Like the others are saying. Error on satellite download. Wanted to update to adless wont be doing that untill this is fixed. Galaxys2 skyrocket

W70%
by W####:

Constant error ... Could not download the data for one flare and then it quits and leaves the alert on the seen for 45 seconds

D70%
by D####:

My boyfriend told me he had ordered a falling star for me on Feb 14th, and to my astonishment, there it was, right where he pointed to, and right on time. Awesome!

V70%
by V####:

Does not down load flare data.

U70%
by U####:

Fails download could not retrieve data for one flare. Message stays on screen for 45 seconds even if app is closed

I70%
by I####:

Used to be excellent app. Not working since about a month ago. Delivers error msg 'Can't download the data for one flare' then closes. Error msg persists on screen after app has closed.

T70%
by T####:

It would appear that the data source used for the app is no longer compatible with the application - or his login is not valid. The author needs to correct this. Could be interesting if this was sorted out; I have successfully used the heavens-above website.

L70%
by L####:

Same, same message of unable to locate conts. Was working great. I now use heavens above. Please fix it was a great app.

S70%
by S####:

No zoom on map for unpaid version makes this worthless to me. Threatens not-so-intrusive ads and the same functionality of the paid version. The paid version has zoom......

G70%
by G####:

Zooms and all features work. Of course I have a Galaxy Nexus standard Android phone with no manufacturer or carrier modifications. So ignore all complaints unless they match your phone model. The software works! Only wish alarms could be exported to the calendar so I'd get notified even if the app isn't running.

Q70%
by Q####:

After the 3.6 update my droid bionic can no longer get a download. Update, it seems that the app will not access the network via the 4G phone line and has to have wifi turned on.

B70%
by B####:

It says it's "downloading" but nothing is happening. It just sits there. It ain't workin' :-( Droid Bionic.

M70%
by M####:

Like the title says, the app used to show the path of the flare but now doesn't. Used to work on two devices and doesn't on either now. See that's in the description now but wish it were fixed.

P70%
by P####:

No matter how often I set it, this app can't seem to remember my location.

X70%
by X####:

Iridium flares don't just happen at night, and if they're bright enough and the sky is clear enough, you CAN see them. Indeed, if you live in a large, light-polluted area (such as a large city), a daytime pass might be as easy, or even easier to see than trying to pick out a nighttime flare through all that yellow haze.

O70%
by O####:

Good, but lacking the stated claim of displaying the location of maximum intensity. Any chance of correcting this?

K70%
by K####:

The app works fine when my Samsung Galaxy S3 can reach the internet via WiFi. When only 3G/4G exists - it just hangs and says it is downloading data.... but never does. I sure hope they fix this - it takes a great app and renders it nearly useless. I ran it on my old Droid and it was the best!
