Vino Cotto Festival

Loro Piceno è molto affezionato al suo prodotto tradizionale per eccellenza e per questo, da più di mezzo secolo, qui si organizza una vera e propria Festa del Vino Cotto. Essa iniziò nell’anno 1948 ad opera di un falegname detto “Mèro” ed era chiamata “FESTA DELL’UVA”; con carri allegorici addobbati con viti e grano, voleva essere un inno ai prodotti agricoli e, in particolare, al vino cotto.
Dagli anni ‘60 lo stesso Comune iniziò a patrocinare questa manifestazione che prese il nome di “SAGRA DEL VINO COTTO” e che da allora si svolge nel mese di agosto di ogni anno.
Oggi tale manifestazione “VINO COTTO FESTIVAL” è giunta ad essere un avvenimento apprezzato a livello regionale ed oltre, con stand gastronomici, concerti, spettacoli, mostre, eventi culturali, mercatino di prodotti tipici dell’artigianato locale e naturalmente cantine dove è possibile degustare il famoso vino cotto!

Today this event "WINE FESTIVAL COTTO" has come to be a popular event at the regional level and beyond, with food stands, concerts, shows, exhibitions, cultural events, market of typical local handicrafts and of course cellars where you can taste the famous mulled wine!
