This app no longer works with the cm-1000 which can't be updated via bluetooth. Tells you device needs update, connect via bluetooth turns off the wifi on your camera. The 1000 doesn't have bluetooth so that isn't possible. Therefore you can't do 2/3 of the things I bought this camera for anymore.

No longer works with my 3x CM-1000. Keeps telling me to update firmware, but according to your website im on the latest firmware. Tell me Shimano how do I now access my camera settings.

It would be great if you could manually enter the ANT+ value for each component rather than have to remove the internal battery and dis/reconnect to switch between bikes but otherwise it's a good app.

Pointless and useless , won't connect to the 1000 camera

The app might work OK but I can't update the firmware on the camera. I've tried a lot of different things to do this but it won't install. There is very little support for the camera and I'm starting to regret my decision to buy this

Interface is a bit clunky, doesn't fit Android aesthetic. Always pulls to systems settings to connect to camera.

APP might be good if I was able to connect the camera to it. I follow the instructions connect to the Shimano_Cam and all that jazz but then it does the old spin around in a circle trick on the screen and then says cannot connect. So U have to run the camera old school and USB to PC styles and miss out on half the functions of the unit. Sounds like a fantastic deal to me.

Connects to the camera then disconnects immediately making the app useless and the camera worthless, buy a different camera

Wasted my money. What's the point of a camera and software that doesn't work. Cmon Shimano lift your game

Wifi is worthless as the signal gets dropped seconds after connecting. Then have to turn camera off and try to reconnect only to be dropped again. This has happened with 3 different phones (Galaxy s3, iPhone 5, Galaxy s6 Edge). Wasted my money. Let's not even talk about how the camera does not pivot recording when camera is turned 90 - 180 degrees as it is supposed to.

Limited fuctions, transfer data to phone quickly eats battery away, might as well copy to phone with SD card

I'm not sure if it's LG (Nexus), Google, or Shimano, but when I need this app to work it won't. When I'm in a hurry to record my bike-commute, for safety and documentation, I can't quickly delete old videos from my camera. It's infuriating. When I don't absolutely require that the app works, it does so almost perfectly. Figure it out already!

Connecting is fine. Wish it didn't auto-disconnect when you change screens on the phone as this means you need to reconnect the wireless connection if you hadn't finished. May be add an option screen to ask if you would like to disconnect at that point. Where is the editing software though???

Main reason for 3 stars is shimano don't deserve good feedback for the none existent software ??? Camera app is OK

Shimano has lost all of my business, thanks to this piece of crap camera and non existent software. Ant+? No. Quality pictures? No. Readable file if the sd card fills during filming? NO! Now I'm out $50+ thanks to buying an sd card I'll never use and return shipping.

I'm using Nexus 4, everything work fine but i try to save the record video into phone and it immediately crash. Tried many times still same. Also tried plug the usb cable straight to macbokk pro but it didnt detect anything too. The only choice is to use card reader but nowadays who still using card reader? Most of the electronic product nowadays allow direct plug and play, i hope shimano can come out with better firmware soon.

Good sports cam, small and versatile. Wi-fi connection to smartphone rather slow. The locking cradle to camera seems insecure, may easily slide off during rough ride.

When using "Live view" the screen goes blank when you hit record. Live view should remain "Live" whether recording or just "Monitoring".

I have a go pro and the shimano sport cam. I would definitely say the shimano is easier to use and quite intuitive. The only bad thing I find is that when I connect my HTC ONE (M7) wirelessly the camera will film fine once but then freezes. When I reset the cam all is fine again. In saying all this, this was experienced with firmware 1.0.1 I have just installed 1.0.2 so lets see if it has already been fixed. All in all when I go for a ride the Shimano Sport Camera is the cam I choose.
