About WiFi-Display(miracast) sink

The device running this application will be a Miracast sink and can be connected by another Android device via "Cast Screen".
(The Miracast Sink device is a device that becomes the display side in Miracast.)

Usage:
1. Please enable if Wifi is disabled.
2. Start this application on the device you want to display.
3. check the device name for this application.
4. On the other Android device, Please start Miracast connection settings.
5. Wait until the device name confirmed in step 3 is displayed.
6. Start connection when you touch the displayed device name.

When the connection is established, it will be in the state that has been screen mirroring.

How to show Miracast connection settings:
This is different depending on the device, here are a few examples below.
Settings - (Wireless & Networks) - Media output
Settings - (Wireless & Networks) - (More) - PlayTo
Settings - (Connect and share) - Screen Mirroring
Settings - Display - Cast Screen(Wireless Display / Share Cast / ScreenMirroring etc..)

Known issues:
1. HDCP is not supported.
For this reason, from some of the devices can not be connected.
Or, the screen during playback, such as video content may become black screen.
2. UIBC supports only single touch.

Because the developer is Japanese, please forgive me that it is unfamiliar with English.
It supports multiple CPU architectures.(ARMv5/ARMv7/x86)

Shows up as Miracast target, but when I attempt to cast the phone says "Failed to get an IP address of Peer." I've tried multiple times with no luck. The phone is Oneplus 3T and it's a Windows 10 sender. Can this be made to work?

G70%
by G####:

Does the job pretty fine. I used it to cast my galaxy s6 screen to galaxy s3. And although there were some glitches in screen view because of low resolution, when I set the proper resolution it worked like a charm. I do not understand why the app has a low rating.

M70%
by M####:

Nice features, but glitches and freezes on 7" Tab 4. Hoped to mirror onto 7" Galaxy Tab 4. App loads, connects, and mirrors fine for 30 seconds. It even adds letterboxing to preserve aspect ratio. But the graphics get glitchy and the app quickly freezes. Competitor's app PowerCast runs fine but doesn't letterbox.

Good app. I can view and control my another phone using this phone. Just one problem, the Ads takeover bottom part of the screen make me can't fully control my bottom part of another phone while casting.

Y70%

LG G4 to Galaxy S3 works great, even over wifi hotspot (for sharing drone video view). One request: please add the ability to detect portrait vs landscape transmission sources and rotate the displayed screen accordingly. Cheers.

This app worked better than any other app I've been looking for to cast my screen to an android device and be able to control it from the receiving device. I'm using a S7 edge and it works pretty good, just pixelates on higher quality videos... I think I will purchase this if the coder keeps up on the updates.

Very slow connection, with super bad quality. The best resolution does not even work.

U70%

Did not work. Google seem to have done something on android 6 to prevent miracast from working. I guess to help sell chromecast (with adds)

Worked on the first try. Mirrored my Kyocera phone to an old Nextbook tablet which was running this software. Both video and audio worked. VERY IMPRESSED. I had no idea this was even possible.

I didn't realize you could use the target device to control the source. This app is amazing. I use it to control a phone i have permanently mounted in my car for nav and radio and streaming. Now it doesn't work on every device but it works flawlessly on my g3 and g4s

W70%
by W####:

Needs a couple improvements... 1. Default to 'immersive mode' once the screen is mirrored, the screen scales on a very large 21" tablet (Slate 21 Pro) running KitKat with the control buttons on the bottom still visible. 2. Native resolution of the Galaxy S4, and the Slate Pro that I am using is 1080p, highest resolution is 720p, then scaling would not be necessary. 3. Try and reduce artifacting on busy scenes like snowfall, etc. Otherwise, watching some streamed video from my 5" phone on a 21" screen is nice.

I am absolutely baffled to see that it works! I had no problem connecting from a Windows 10 laptop (Anniversary Update). Too bad Google just removed the Miracast casting capabilities from Android 7.0 Nougat! =( This is devastating. Displaying the session log right on is also a very good idea. Nicely done!

Only app I could find to do this. I was looking for an easy way to extend the desktop of my Surface 3 tablet with a portable solution. After buying a new Fire 5th Gen, I flashed CM12.1 (to enable casting and Wifi Display) and installed this app. Minus making sure the resolution was set to the highest in config before pairing (or for some reason it wouldn't link at lower res), the Surface 3 found it immediately and linked up in under 5 seconds. Desktop work over the connection is great and clean, video streaming is a little pixelated and jerky probably because the decompression is not optimized for the multi-core or GPU, but fantastic and love that it works cross-platform. FINALLY!!! Thanks again developer.

Works. Both devices need to be wireless display capable (newer laptops and tablets) and OS needs to be Wireless Display Capable (some Android versions are not wireless display capable. Windows 7 is not wireless display capable).

Recommended app. A question to developer: could you add support for selecting Wi-Fi channel and 5 GHz operation?

U70%
by U####:

Useless won't connect with anything and the only options in "configs" are resolution and volume and such. Nothing to actually do with configuring anything.

The app worked perfectly when casting from an LG G4 to a Google Nexus 7. No configuration was required; I just launched the app on the Nexus 7 and then used the built-in Miracast function on the G4. I like the fact that I could also control the G4 from the Nexus. The default resolution worked fine for me; the latency became apparent when I increased it. It is important to note that this app is designed to receive a Miracast signal, not send one. Some of the 1-star reviews seem to overlook that. In addition, if your device doesn't support sending Miracast, it's probably not going to act as a receiver for Miracast, either.
