삶이라는 여정을 걷는다는 것은 이런 게 아닐까요?

대부분의 나날을, 우리는 감사하게도 그럭저럭 잘 지냅니다. 가르침을 받고, 일을 하고, 인생의 동반자를 만나 함께 살 집도 장만합니다. 그 와중에 어떤 일이 일어납니다. 그 일은 아이가 태어나는 사건일 수도 있고, 부모님이 세상을 떠나는 일일 수도 있습니다. 우리는 갑작스레 병을 앓을 수도 있고, 일자리를 잃게 될 수도 있습니다.

이런 일들은 자연스럽게 흘러가던 시간을 가로막고, 견고하기만 할 것 같던 삶에 균열을 냅니다. 삶에 균열이 가면 우리 시야는 꽃 한 송이조차 눈에 들어오지 않을 정도로 어두워집니다. 삶의 목적, 의미에 관한 물음이 자연스레 솟아납니다.

이때 우리는 멈추어 돌이켜서 자기 자신을 면밀히 살펴보아야 합니다. 바로 이 때, 올바른 물음을 던질 수 있는 곳, 자기 자신을 살필 수 있는 곳이 어디일까요? 그렇게 하기 위해서는 어디로 가야 할까요? 아마도 교회일 것입니다.

교회의 예배에는 참여하는 이의 삶을 돌이킬 수 있게 하는 힘이 있으며, 인생의 주관자이신 하나님을 직접 만나게 합니다.

오늘 그 삶의 쉼표와 마침표를 연결하는 주님의 교회로 당신을 초대합니다.
