서남교회는 이 땅이 황무하던 60년전 청주 도성 자리에 세워져 하나님의 놀라운 은총과 새롭게 하시는 역사를 날마다 체험하는 교회입니다.

서남교회는 순종하는 삶을 사는 교회입니다.
아브라함이 갈 바를 알지 못하였을 때 하나님의 음성을 듣고 순종하였던 것처럼, 우리의 삶 속에 순간 순간 들려지는 주님의 음성에 온전히 반응하여 말씀에 순종하는 삶을 살아가야 합니다.
주님이 하나님의 뜻에 순종하여 사랑의 종으로 이 땅에 오신 것처럼 말입니다.

서남교회는 믿음의 삶을 사는 교회입니다.
아브라함이 지금 눈앞에 아무것도 없지만, 창대케 해주시겠다는 말씀을 굳게 믿음으로 하나님의 뜻을 이루어 드리려 한 것처럼, 우리도 삶 속에서 온전히 하나님만 의지하고 그분께만 모든 것을 맡김으로 우리의 삶이 창대케 되어가는 복을 누려야 하겠습니다.

서남교회는 나누는 삶을 사는 교회입니다.
아브라함은 자신이 지금은 비록 가진 것이 아무것도 없고, 몸 붙일 땅 떼기 하나 없었지만
하나님이 자신을 축복의 통로로 사용하신 다는 것을 온전히 알았기에 자신의 것을 마음껏 나눌 수 있었습니다. 주님도 자신의 물과 피를 다 쏟으시며 이 세상에 하나님의 사랑을 나누어 보여 주신 것처럼 말입니다.
