PDF417 barcode scanner

Update: Disabling my screen-darkening filter app allowed normal operation of the on-screen elements. Review went from 4 to 5 stars now! My fault! I realized a very few apps do not seem to be quite compatible with screen filters, and after some research, it seems to be more of an Android issue rather than a developer issue (maybe a certain API?). Original review: Very quick scanning. Even picks up multiple barcodes at a time. Problem with this update is the app ignores tapping on any of the on-screen elements. I let it decode a barcode, and, well, that's all I can do. Share and Next buttons do nothing. Likewise for the menu and flash icons. Also cannot interact with the pop-up tips either. I must exit the app by using the home button and go back in to scan again. Previous version had none of these usability issues. But at least it can decode barcodes and quickly without fuss. I'm on a Note 3 running Lollipop.

OK. So before scanning the user should go in and select everything. That certainly works but it might be a bit more helpful for novices if everything was selected to begin, and they could then "de-select" those they don't want. That way it would work the first time they tried it instead of failing because what they needed was not selected.

It was great until last update. Now it rarely gets to scan any barcode. Takes an eternity. It only works fast if you pick only the barcode you want to scan. I had all types of barcodes selected and it worked quick in the previous version.

Didn't work with note 5 OS7... Deleted

The app itself is great: simple, fast, and reliable. It is a bit funny that they blurred out the name on the boarding pass without blurring the barcode too, since this is an app for reading that barcode.

When I scan a drivers license it shows funny thing why is that??

Use it to quickly scan IDs at work. Will have to play around with library when I have free time to make a custom app. Quick and easy scanning with demo.

Really fast and easy to use app! It downloads fast and the code reader is very simple...just point camera towards code and the reader will identify and adjust itself to capture the code. I finally was able to view what the code reveals about me!

The auto focus doesn't work. Pressing the screen while out of focus does not trigger auto focus.

Probably a really cool concept, but the camera doesn't autofocus at all on my Samsung GS7 Edge, which makes the app unusable for me.

Worked fine on previous phone will not auto focus or capture photo.

Read passport barcode, most other types. No ads, no fuzz. Only wish to support more alphabetical decoding.

Works well. I would give it 5 stars if it would parse the contents of standard barcodes like airplane tickets.
