On Siren, there is no swiping. No "shopping for humans." Our Question of the Day (QOTD) creates a context for conversation, and personalities reveal themselves organically over time, just like in real life. Find someone with a hot personality, not just a hot photo.
Other dating apps make you sell yourself. Siren lets you be yourself. #FightTheSwipe!
I liked the idea of this app but the execution was so terrible that literally made it impossible to use. Uninstalling.
Latest version claims it fixed crash bugs - instead it now crashes on any interaction.
I try to click on people and nothing happens
Can't finish my profile. Keeps saying "please enter your age" while I have it filled out.
I just downloaded this app and it sucks! It won't let me connect through Facebook just keeps bringing up a blank screen. When I tried to create a new account using email it won't let me enter in the 4digit code they sent me. No point in this app if you can't get past step 1 :(
Keyboard disappears and won't come back after pin code is sent.
Fill out the profile and it keeps saying to put in my age when it's already filled out
The app won't allow me to create a profile. Will be uninstalling.
App doesn't let you connect through Facebook even though it's the primary option. App won't let you complete profile. It says "Please enter age" when it has already been entered.
Keyboard issues entering confirmation code
Hello I'm so sorry to rate it this low but when I made my account I used my email to make a profile but every time I went to edit the profile it kept crashing. It wouldn't let me save it when I finally got the info together either. Is there someone I can contact to fix this?
As of 4.0, I cannot log in. The password field is being treated as if there's nothing entered.
Nice idea. Forget it if you are over 40, very few people. Small base and I've been on several weeks with the same 5 people in my feed. Good platform but needs to really be put out there. Appeals to real social inter action vs. "hooking up". Guess thats why there are not alot of people on it?
I love this app. As a male, I am often disappointed in the ridiculous and offensive ways men frequently treat women. That has caused extreme mistrust and social abuse on other sites. How people behave online has compounded the problem...but out of the fray comes Siren! Giving the power to someone other than the male is a spectacular idea! It feels so much safer and more genuine than other sites I've tried. Thank you.
It'd be cool if I could see my pictures. Or the pictures of people I connect with. Instead of a black screen. It'd also be nice to have a way to report things like this from inside the app. If it's there, I couldn't find it at all.
Siren is a fresh concept. Marketing department may need a little motivation. Soo...few....users. Albiet, maybe a higher quality of users. Still buggy. Can't see additional profile pics at times, mine included.
Can't use for more than 3 minutes without it crapping out. Running on a high end phone with newest Android.
So far so good, just small issues like not being able to see pictures. I hope this becomes popular so that there are more people here.
Sluggish, very few people utilizing it, and the few who do don't ever want to connect. The one person who ever wanted to connect back turned out to be one of those "I'm going to be going out of the country and need someone to help with my financial affairs" scammers.
Still pretty much to be desired in terms of performance. Slow to load and glitchy. Not much luck on here either
Finally found a dating site that I feel like I can use. It isn't all about pictures and a long list of activities. I love that I can control my visibility also!
Finally a dating app that balances the scales. Where women won't to be forced to leave the party by the chauvinistic and overly macho.
This app has a thousand downloads, it needs to be advertised more. However it is a good idea.
Now let's grow the community.
Good app keep it up
There's nobody really in my area that's using this, so there's really no point in keeping it on my phone. I do love the concept, and I like connecting with people in a more meaningful way than just swiping their pic one way or the other... The messaging feature doesn't update as you're talking to someone, and you have to keep going out of it and back in to see if the other person replied. It's a little wonky. So all in all, great concept, little participation, and crappy messaging features.
Update: No more crashes! No Facebook necessary and very user friendly. Finally, the right dating app to fight the swipe!
Got lots of sms spam after verifying my number.... This is a scam.
I'm from Miami Florida so not seeing one person from there is kinda werid... maybe this needs more advertisement.
Fun and well-designed, with an eye toward safety.
It took almost an hour and I couldn't download it. I tried to install it again, with the same result. And once I got to Google's troubleshooting, that page refused to load up too. I'm not sure if this is due to my phone (I have a samsung lte. Not the most current phone) or Google play's store just really sucks. Either way, I'm depressed.
Worked for about a day. Auto crashes instantly now. Deleted and reinstalled. Same problem. Galaxy S6
Couldn't even create a profile. Checked off to sign up with Facebook then it took me back to login or sign up screen, tried again and got a little further but then got a pop-up message that account with that Facebook couldn't be found and I couldn't click on either option to sign up or log in, just froze. Nice try though, read about it on a Facebook article.
Only thing this site needs to improve is to grow! I love the QOTD and the privacy and consideration for trans/queer/non-binary. Lots of polyamourous ppl to talk to also! It's great!
The method if connecting through questions that are more then yes or no or multiple choice is great for facilitating conversation. The inclusion of trans and non-binary folk in a safe way is excellent, as is the ability to keep photos private until connecting. The downside is there aren't many folks on here yet, but I'm sure that will change with time. This really is a new way to do online dating and it's fantastic to have as another option in a sea of sites that are less ideal.
Not many users on here yet but I don't even care because the app is queer-friendly, fun to use, and I don't feel like hotdogs are constantly being thrown in my face every time I open the app. (Cough okstupid cough.)
1) Not enough users. Using rather liberal settings, I found three people answering any questions. 2) Good luck if you want to answer a bunch of past questions from months prior. After answering one, Siren sent me back up to the very top of the question list. To answer another question from months past that I had my eye on, I had to scroll endlessly again to find it. The app should leave you at the same location list when you go back, but it doesn't. 3) The "Help" and "Report a Problem" features don't work properly.
Needs more description for the people. Don't go longer, but some other deatils would be nice. Hobbies, talents, music preferences, etc.
Title says it all.. nice starting chat topics that can expand into more.
