Geology Toolkit is a complete android application which allows geologists to examine and explore minerals and rocks features under microscope or hand-specimen properties.
Geology Toolkit makes mineralogy and petrology to be easier to examine a thin section and to understand the characteristic properties for each mineral/rock without a petrographic microscope, which is known to be very expensive. It is mainly addressed to geoscience students / geologists as a guide in individual or supervised laboratory work.

Unistalling it, it was a really good app until the upgrade I had ITV trying to load all night it still hasn't loaded this morning, ive unistalled it really installed it restated my phone and nothing I have the latest phone but as as said it was working fine until it upgraded i have just paid for the premium version and i still have the lite version not impressed not upgraded it at all

For the extra $5 to upgrade to this premium version there are no additional minerals under the microscope section. This section would also be more useful if it included the optic sign (biaxial + 2v 90° for example). Otherwise great app just don't get a lot extra for the money and would recommend others obtains the free version mVPM.

I think you have to check hexagonal system in crystallography section in your app . You just show 3 axes . Where is fourth one ?

This app gives lots of detailed but understandable descriptions of rocks , rock types and properties. I am 13 and i got this app to help me study so that I can be a geologist, and it was worth installing! So if you want to know what identify a rock or learn more about rocks, download this app!!! :-)

Have to literally purchase every single thing except for the install and main menu. Im positive this app is grea t , unfortunetly I can not afford it right now due to being unemployed with 2 little boys , and bills, so im leaving this comment as well as leaving this app alone.
