Lüthy Balmer Stocker gehört zu den grössten Sortimentsbuchhandlungen des deutschsprachigen Raums und ist das grösste familiengeführte Buchhandelsunternehmen der Schweiz.
Die Buchhandlung Lüthy wurde 1838 in Solothurn gegründet und ist damit eine der ältesten Buchhandlungen der Schweiz. 1995 hat Lüthy in Zürich eine Filiale eröffnet (Glatt), 2007 kam die zweite dazu (Sihlcity). 1998 kamen die Scherz Buchhandlungen in Biel und Grenchen zur Gruppe. 2011 wurde eine neue Buchhandlung im Bahnhof Aarau eröffnet.
Bücher Balmer ist Zugs traditioneller Buchladen. Balmer hat neben dem Hauptgeschäft im Zentrum Zugs auch eine Filiale im Einkaufszentrum Zugerland.
Das Buchhaus Stocker ist seit 100 Jahren die führende Buchhandlung in Luzern. Stocker hat Filialen in Schwyz (Mythencenter) und Stans (Länderpark).

Im Jahre 2005 ist das Logistikzentrum von der Solothurner Innenstadt an die Peripherie in eine ehemalige Uhrenfabrik umgezogen. Im Logistikzentrum wird der Warenumschlag zwischen den Buchhandlungen bewältigt und es sind die Bereiche Rechnungswesen, Online-Buchhandlung und Call-Center untergebracht.
