This is a Windows Admin tool, intended for use by network administrators and various IT professionals. Valid credentials are required to connect to a windows domain.

ActiveDir connects to any Windows Server Active Directory via an LDAP connection. No additional software is required; however Active Directory Services does require a basic certificate configuration to enable encryption (req'd to set passwords). This is typical started by adding the AD Certificate or Certificate Services role.

*RDP and VNC functions are provided by Yongtao Wang's remote tools. All 5 rdp/vnc tools are supported and auto-detected when present, selecting pro over lite/ad supported. Passing the current credentials (effectively SSO) only functions on Pro and Enterprise versions. http://www.remotespark.com/android_solution.html (also available on Android Market)

*TLS Unavailable Error most likely indicates the domain controller isn't capable of LDAP encryption. A connection can usually be made by disabling TLS and SSL in the connection profile. This will allow a non-encrypted connection with the drawback that AD LDAP will not perform password updates without encryption.

To enable LDAP Encrpytion (TLS and SSL):
*Active Directory Certificate Services should be added to one domain controller to provide SSL/TLS security, which is needed to set passwords. In many environments this requirement may already be in place, if not adding a private Enterprise-CA for your organization is a fairly simple process. More information is availiable in our FAQ here: http://www.activedir.mobi/?page_id=12

*ActiveDir is bound by the Active Directory Security policies that regulate directory security, authentication and object visibility. Valid credentials must be used to gain required access to the AD system, standard (non-admin) user accounts can be used, under normal security permissions standard accounts cannot alter data without being granted Administrator or Special access.

What are users saying about ActiveDir Manager

Works pretty well. A little bit of trouble with screen display when scrolling. I'd have given it 4 stars if I could add users too.

T70%

After the latest Android update it no longer works. The app was last updated in 2013. I don't think the author supports it anymore as the link to email for assistance from the developer is no longer working.

Z70%
by Z####:

The app just doesn't work, it won't connect to my server 2008 r2 ad... tried every connection option with no luck

T70%
by T####:

So far no issues. BUT can't add users, can't create groups etc. Id maybe expect that in the free version, but not there paid.

Please tell us how to use after configuration show message can't server

K70%
by K####:

You can move a computer if you first find it in the tree, but not from the full list of computers. Also, from the computer list you can't discover what OU a computer is in. The same is true for users. So the actions you may perform vary depending on how you're accessing the objects. That's ridiculous. You should be able to do whatever you can do in the application, from wherever you can tap & hold to get the menu. Why artificially limit actions the app can perform, out of careless inconsistency?

On a note 3, constantly if left open new the background will crash when you reopen it. In search field, pressing return gives a line break instead of searching. REALLY? makes me miss iOS.

K70%
by K####:

Pretty decent for basic AD administration. Loses a point for the horrible interface and another for the LDAP search base not being implemented. Otherwise does a reasonable job.

U70%
by U####:

Used to be a great app. Now when you select a user it crashes out. Reports to developer are ignored.

This was a great app for me and I used it all the time. That is until my phone upgrade to marshmallow yesterday. No matter what I do I can't get it to connect to my domain anymore. Weather I connect to VPN or locally as soon as I click the domain I want it says cannot connect to server. I have a Droid Turbo 2 at this upgrade the marshmallow yesterday. I hope this is fixed soon especially since I had to pay for this app

B70%

So far no issues. Anyway you can add delete. When long selecting a machine there is no delete option which is needed sometimes.

Would be nice to have a material upgrade, but it works great on a functionality level

R70%
by R####:

Very handy for doing mundane AD tasks on the run.

This is a very useful app for on the go AD admin. I would like it more if the search feature worked and if I could delete accounts instead of just disable them. Otherwise, I've been using it for three years and it makes my life easier. Well worth the money.

Z70%
by Z####:

Works wonders, solid no issues.

T70%
by T####:

use this all the time with junos pulse, resetting passwords on the go is a snap with this app

R70%
by R####:

I often use it when I'm at work or remotely (through VPN). It saved me from booting my computer more than once. I'm not sure the app is still maintained, but it would benefit from a little interface update, and with ARC Welder this would be great to be able to run this app from any Chrome-powered systems (Chromebook for example).

F70%
by F####:

Good app but it errors when I try changing a users password

R70%
by R####:

This is a great app to manage exisitig users but there is no way to add OUs, containers, or even new users. I hope future updates will include these options.

Will not connect on HTC one m8. Using the same configuration as on my HTC one m7. Please fix
