About Lifting Log

Lifting Log tracks your progress on a per-exercise basis. It doesn't need or want to know the days of the week you workout or your name, body weight, height and pictures of your gut like other over-complicated weight training apps.

It's simply meant to track your reps/weight progress per exercise (e.g. bench, military press, squat) and even graph your increases for each.

I haven't even used the app yet, just installed and when I saw that it needed NO special permissions to access anything in my phone I instantly fell in love. It might not even work on my device and I would still give 5 stars! Thank you!

I was looking for a simple way of logging my weight lifting workouts and this fits the bill perfectly. I also liked the fact that there was a need to have permissions to everything on my device, which seems to be the majority of the apps in the market (I'll save that for another day). The only thing I wish I could do is export the workout data.

A simple no bones about it log to track my lifts. Excellent program. Built in timer was a bonus, was not expecting that. Appreciate the ability to graph my progress. Hats off, good sir. Except now I'll prolly get stares from the rest of the gym..." That dude is on his phone after every set. What's that about?". One suggestion though, a volume control for the alarm, or the option to set it at whatever volume the music is at, cause it's super loud in my ear buds.

Only feature I'd like added is to highlight the contents of the weight/reps boxes on first press; one touch to select, then input weight straight away. Right now have to long press field, choose "select all", then type value.

I used to have a piece of paper stuck to the wall in my gym and would handwrite exc/ sets reps and weight. This was fine but ive been looking for an app alternative forever and they all seemed overly complicated / finiky. This app is EXACTLY what I wanted, can do a set, click weight * reps and THATS IT. No bullshit. The rest timer is a great motivaional tool aswell

Good app. Only annoying part is the beep when your rest timer expires. Blares in your ear full blast when you are listening to music at the gym. Would be nice if I could turn the timer off or at least down. Other than that, solid app.

I was looking for a simple app to record my lifts and this one seemed to fit the bill. However the progress charts are terrible and the key blocks out the most recent part of your progress - making the whole thing rather pointless.

I like the simple interface. Improvement wise, I would like it if the app was a little more customizable. For example, I listen to music through my phone using earbuds during a workout and when the beep signaling the end of a break happens, the volume skyrockets. Really hurts my ears. Things like that should have options in the app

once i hv add various activities into the log, the progress graph become useless as it is hard to identify each of them. my suggestion is seperate each of the activity log in to a new graph to make it look nice and clear. also, is it possible to rearrange the weight and the reps input numpad to a same one? it is kind of annoying when typing in numeric data but using different kind of numpad, thanks!

Simple and flexible. Doesn't force you to do certain workout routines or sets like other apps do. Only drawback is no way to export or save data if you wipe or change your phone.

Great app, keeps it simple, yet is effective. Only complaint I have is when the rest timer finishes the beep blasts to full volume and if you listen to your music while you work out it blast that as well and blows your ear drums.

The functionality is nice but don't use the timer while wearing ear buds. The alert is at max volume and I cannot find how to adjust it. It is painfully loud with no means of adjusting or shutting off. Fix this and it is a 5 star app.

I can't use this app with headphones. The beep after resting will make me go deaf. Other than that I love the simplicity

Would be 4 or 5 star if I could change the rest timer sound, or at least reduce the volume. It disturbs others in the gym.

I have one complaint: the rest-timer beep goes off at the loudest volume, then changes my music volume to one less than the loudest automatically.

Could not figure out how to add reps. Uninstalled after two minutes of trying. I liked the simplicity, but there is no excuse for unintuitive interface for such a basic feature.

Great app, simple, efficient and easy to use. Would be perfect with a backup function though as well as grouping or organization of exercises outside of alphabetical.

A nice simple app with a fatal flaw: no backup to the cloud. So when my phone wiped itself, I lost all my data.

I had this app a couple years ago, and I don't remember it making that beeping noise when I set it to 0 seconds rest. This is exactly what I was looking for in an app, but I don't want that beeping, and frankly I do active recovery, so I don't want the rest timer. I'm uninstalling and going back to a paper book :(

Simple interface. No frills, no clutter. Great for weight training. Only flaw: graphs should be separate for each exercise entry and not all exercises lumped together. After a year of logging workouts the graph is so cluttered that it's useless. Would be nice to only see a graph of bench press, or only squats, etc. Please update!

The progress graph is utterly retarded! The key is right on top of the most recently graphed part of the chart. It should be much larger and continue to allow zooming in to see the different colors on the graph. Other than that I love this app!

simple which is good while logging. Wish i could assign a muscle group or routine but still nice. I can just add a letter before the exercise name so It's kinda grouped

This is exactly what I was looking for. With a little pre workout entry I can quickly record the weight I lifted and how many reps. It also has a record of my progress. Good job!

Best app I've seen. Clean, simple interface. Two things that would make it fantastic: The add/subtract buttons for weight entry found in other apps The ability to set a routine.right now its a list of exercises Great work guys!

Love that it's simple and has rest timer. Wish you could organize exercises by body part and wish you could pull up history of exercise by week and month so you could more easily see progression over different periods of time.

The dates are all wrong. Also graphs shows no date only month. If u can fix that and allow to change order of exercises it can really be good.

Does what its supposed to. Timer is very helpful during workouts. All its missing is some kind of back up. All my data was lost after switching to a new phone even though I transferred app data...

Its better than jefit in my opinion. Jefit is awesome but they chuck too much in e.g. You can Google exercises u want to do before or even in the gym. The app doesnt have to do all that for you. This app is simple and for pure gym (literally) users. In work out log and out. Done. 5 stars

Pleaseeeee make a bacup or export. I have alot of data as im sure others do. AWESOME PROGRAM
