FollowUp is a FREE app for your Android smartphone that allows you to keep track of all your communications in one place! Starred emails, missed SMS messages and un-answered phone calls become tasks for completion, giving you the irreplaceable assurance that you will never miss an important message again. You can also create a contact-based task directly from within the app.
Emails:
*Connect with your Gmail account to monitor for starred emails
*When a starred email is detected, it becomes a task
*Reply to email and task is marked as complete
Phone Calls;
*Monitors for missed calls from your contacts
*If call goes un-returned for more than 30 minutes a task is created
*Return call and task is marked as completed
*Block calls from un-desired numbers

A little fix needed. In the upper right corner the options menu of selected task is dark grey so its almost unreadable (Later/Delete).

I get that the sync features are for purchase, but I expected at least some integration with Informant. As it is, it seems the integration is limited to a link from Informant settings to this app. Unless I missed something.

I'm surprised the authors of Pocket Informant haven't created a direct link option to their own product. Why would I wish to use a messaging app on the phone to update a subscription sync service in the cloud just to update my tasks on the phone? I don't want a separate to do app with separate SMS functions. I want everything in PI.

Great idea for an app, and this one seems nicely done. I expected this to link up with my existing pocket informant, but it does not without paying for an extra link capability.

The starred emails should remain starred until they are marked complete. The app should keep the stars in sync and not clear them until the task is complete. Be careful if you use stars for a purpose other than following up on the email.

Good idea. I'd like to have custom naming and advanced filters with marks. With Gmail I use 4 different marks. And one of this marks - task is done. I'd like to filter them out of future tasks. IT DELETED ALL MY MARKS IN GMAIL ((((

It can not connect to my company exchange server. No good and I feel I paid for nothing for sync feature.

Incompatible with all of my Android devices except my Icarus eXceL reader! Too bad I would have loved to use this app.

I really like this app. Simple. Works as advertised. Like any app, especially new ones, it'll have a bug or two. When I found one they got right on it. They worked diligently to resolve the issue and were courteous and professional. Actually some of the best customer support I've had from anyone.

I love the PI so I installed this app, I'm very disappointed. It said that it would use my started email and voice-mails to remind me to get back to someone. What I didn't know is it would take all my started items from the past year and move them into the program and remove the start from them. Now I have over 500 emails in the app and the star has been removed in my email account , I now can not find my important emails and I have all the ones that I have taken care of on the top of the list in Followup. It should have ask if I wanted to import and how far back, it should also clarify that the starts will be removed, or ask if it should be removed.
